It looks like the series stops at 588 and picks up again at 600. Based on the jump it looks like there should be a 12 issues maxi series that goes in the gap if you were trying to read them in order but the only thing I see in the date range is the FF series which has 23 issues so I can't imagine that being it since the series kept going past 12.

Fantastic Four stopped at 588. It was replaced by FF #1. Then, Marvel decided to have Fantastic Four 600 and FF 12, because suckers would buy both titles.

Thank you.   If this was football it'd be time to through the yellow flag. Even with a booth review there's no way those 11 FF's count as Fantastic Fours 589-599. If issue 11 is then issue 12 through 23 should be also. I get the feeling someone involved used to work with the X-Titles.

It seems to me that frequent, mindless renumbering has become a significant part of Marvel's marketing strategy. Any logic in numbering is just a dim and fading memory. This has real consequences for buyers and sellers of back issues. Where I live, there is a chain of stores selling used CDs, DVDs, games, and comics (while comics are a significant part of the stock, the stores are not comics specialty shops). When I go through back issues at stores in this chain, I often find the comics, arranged by title and number, to be filed without regard to volume. So Wolverine (2010–present) #1 may be followed by Wolverine (2003–09) #2, followed by Wolverine (1988–2003) #4, etc. It makes me long for the days of Jim Shooter as EIC of Marvel, when the marketing strategy was telling good stories!

Incredible Hulk stops at #112 to become Incredible Herc. Hulk Title continues as Hulk #1 until Incredible Hulk #600. It's still confuising to this day on how they reached #600. They count all of the Tales to Astonish issues (even the ones that didn't feature Hulk), but they discount the first volume of Incredible Hulk which ran for 6 issues. And then they throw the first 12 issues of the latest "Hulk" title in there, even though that title continued on its own until eventually becoming Red She-Hulk. Yeah.. confusing as sh!t, lol.
