The stupidity of Cartoon Network never ceases to amaze me. They get rid of two outstanding shows like Green Lantern and Young Justice, but keep crudely drawn drek like Adventure Time, Uncle Grandpa and Clarence. Why should I bother getting invested in Beware The Batman (I really don't care for the kiddie Teen Titans) when I have no doubt it will be treated just as shoddily as GL and YJ? http://toynewsi.com/news.php?itemid=19834

gee... nobody bought our poorly conceived DVD releases that were overpriced - F it, cancel the show. It doesn't matter if it's 50 Cents or 50 Dollars - if you list it as NM it better be NM.Xylob's Most Wanted: G.I.Joe Special Missions TPB 2 Tales from the Transformers Beast Wars: Critical Mass Transformers: Timelines #3 - either cover, no preference. Problems with CCL? 615-264-4747 Offices are open M-F 8am-5pm Central Time. You can also e-mail the Chief Brand Officer directly to try to resolve questions/stuff at steve@golocomedia.com for help with password resets, general customer service questions, store order resolution, credit card store updating, questions about comic books and CCL, etc...

See, that just shows how stupid Cartoon Network, though Warner Bros. might be more responsible, is regarding these shows. When they release these DVDs with three or four episodes and no special features, they are not going to make money. Release them as season sets with some special features and they will rake in the dough. I have all the Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League/Justice League: Unlimited, Baman Beyond, The Batman and even the Teen Titans, not to mention all the DCAU movies. I have not, and will not, buy Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes, Green Lantern: The Animated Series or Young Justice unless they release them in season sets and I am certain I am not alone. They just don't get it.

Yet another action-packed and emotional story in Green Lantern this week. It's a damn shame both of those shows are in their final season as we've recently learned, Green Lantern especially. Even though she went all evil, part of me feels for Aya. Razer really was messing with her head. Did anyone else notice that the killer robot villain in this week's Young Justice, the one that looked like some variant of the Iron Man armor, his voice was the same one used for Apocalypse in the classic X-Men animated series. ***CHECK OUT MY COMIC TRADING LIST, CLICK HERE******TRADE VIDEO GAMES WITH ME, CLICK HERE******TRADE COMIC CARDS WITH ME, CLICK HERE***Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules here

Who is the muscle-bound kid in Young Justice everybody calls "Mal" that started wearing Guardian's armor? Mal has a long history with the Teen Titans and has gone by many names. He first showed up on Young Justice as one of the kids at Connor and M'gann's high school. http://www.titanstower.com/mal-duncan/

I see, a little fan-service for the "old school" viewers - I love the show, but have never read the comics. Best line from the latest episode of GL:TAS: Jordan: If you're an honor guard now, who's protecting our sector? Gardner: Some new guy... um... John Stewart Jordan: The fake news guy?

I don't get the "fake news guy" crack... John was an architect and former Marine in the comics, so this one is outta left field for me. D'oh! I just got it. It's (a very dated) SNL reference. ***SPOILERS AHEAD!!!*** I haven't watched this week's Young Justice quite yet, but I did watch the last episode of Green Lantern TAS last night... DANG! What an epic and emotional episode. The part where Razer tried to kill Aya, failed, and then Aya accidently killed him was just heart-wrenching. I can't freaking believe this is getting cancelled and instead we get goofy-as-heck cartoons like Teen Titans Go. What's quite sad is that the creators obviously thought they were going to get a Season 3, because this episode set up stuff for the next season: The GL Corps has to rebuild from their losses. Guy Gardner was introduced, and John Stewart was mentioned. Razer is going on a search for Aya. The "being" that the science-Guardian pulled a sliver of life-essence from to use on Aya when creating sounded like The First Lantern from that description, to me. Who was just so recently revealed as a character in the Green Lantern comics and the current GL storyline is revolving around in the comics. So many unresolved story threads there. I hope they at least make an animated movie to tie things up. ***CHECK OUT MY COMIC TRADING LIST, CLICK HERE******TRADE VIDEO GAMES WITH ME, CLICK HERE******TRADE COMIC CARDS WITH ME, CLICK HERE***Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules here

I thought both shows were quite emotional and it really ticks me off that both are being cancelled. With Razor going off on his personal mission and the appearence of a certain Big Bad at the end of Young Justice, it is clear that the creators intended to have more seasons but the dolts at Cartoon Network decided to pull the plug on two popular shows. I have zero interest in the upcoming Teen Titans Go, which has even worse animation than the first series. I am curious about Beware The Batman, though I have to ask myself if I should get invested in yet another series that Cartoon Network will undoubtably screw over. With the demise of Clone Wars from CN's lineup, there is no reason why the DC Nation block couldn't have been expanded to two hours, keeping GL and YJ, while adding Teen Titans Go and Beware The Batman. It would have been a no-brainer. We can only hope that the powers that be make at least one smart move and release both series in season sets and not the 3 episode dvds they have been (see previous rant), but I won't hold my breath waiting. Fortunately, I've recorded them all, so I will have that. I stopped buying DC comics at the end of Flashpoint, so I do not know what the current continuity is, but I assumed the entity that Scar was referring to was Ion. There are so many ways they could have taken this show had they continued. I would have liked to see what this show's take on John Stewart would have been, since Guy's character was kinda tweaked. Also, this little nugget in Scar's secret lab really got my excitement going. It is a shame we will never see what could have been.
