Has anyone else taken a look at this?? When I ordered this book a couple months ago from Diamond I did so just based on the title knowing that "sex sells" but also know that Image comics doesn't publish pr0n. To my absolute surprise, astonishment, whatever you want to call it...there is a significant amount of nudity and "adult content" in this book. I flipped through it in disbelief. Prices on the 'bay are very high for this book right now and apparently this is the reason why. Anyone want to speculate where this book will end up or how it might change thing among the "mainstream" publishers??

I think like all porno comics that come out it will garner double cover right when it releases to all the minors who couldnt buy at a comic store. Then 2 months later worthless, same as all the rest.

I don't consider myself a speculator, but I missed out on Nowhere Men and vow not to let that happen again, lol...Image # 1 plus someone like Brian Wood seems to be a winning combination with or without the sex, lol

I almost added this to my pull list, but the upcoming sequester means I'll my paycheck will be cut pretty severely starting in April. With a 20% pay cut I can't be adding to my expenses... The solicit material I saw was very intriguing - what I got from it was a 'superhero' had decided he was going to retire and lead a "normal" life, the series would be the story of how he copes with living like everybody else to include learning how to have a relationship - I did not get that it was gonna be a booby book. How's the writing?

How's the writing? For me, it's always tough to tell after 1 issue how good a book is. Some jump out at you are really good right off the bat and others take a while to build up. Saga took a little while to build up for me. Sex was O.K. It's premise is exactly what you said it is and the sex is from the main character trying to do things he couldn't when he was a hero. The sex scene, which was the main character watching 2 female call girls going at it, sets up the next issue. So it's not totally gratuitous. It's also not wall to wall sex. The sex scene was like a page and a half. But there may be more in future issues. I'm in for at least another issue.

Really not much happens in the first issue. And the sex scene is not all that more explicit than some other books I've read from Vertigo, Zenescope or Avatar. The art is good though and I'm intrigued to find out more about the main character so I might pick up a few more issues to see where it goes.
