I got this and the follow-up issue back when they were new because I'm a big fan of Venom and Carnage. Strange story, really. But I recall us talking about this issue in a thread a while back. For some reason they had a really low print run and are worth a little bit more than most issues from that era.

When I check out local comic shops/shows for deals, #430 is always the one I come across the least often (ie NEVER). Nicely done!

Went to a half price books today, I was really looking for some kind of REALLY LARGE Omnibus to take with me on my upcoming beach trip, didn't succeed in that, but I did pick up -

Grimm Fairy Tales 5,11,12 for a buck a piece
Hawkeye 1,2 (3rd prints) a buck a piece
Green Lantern (2011) 19 - 1.49

And what looks like a pretty cool book called (TPB) OFF ROAD - by Sean Murphy, I have been digging Punk Rock Jesus, so thought I would give it a try...

Got out of half price books for under 12 bucks, that never happens...

A comic book not too far away was having a 50% off sale on all of their back issues today, so I took the drive and found this VF/NM gem (1st Goon) for half cover price:

ComicVortex

Current specials:

Get 30% Off Select Comics
For every comic you purchase from our 'Bargain Bin' (those priced $1 or less), another comic purchased over $1 will be $30% off (refunded via PayPal). eg. If you purchase 10 'Bargain Bin' books, then 10 books purchased that are each over $1 will recieve this refund, etc.

Free Shipping

Every domestic order of 25 or more comics gets FREE SHIPPING (Media Mail). Though I can't provide Free Shipping on foreign orders, we do offer a $5 refund on postage for purchases of 25 or more comics to foreign countries or a $10 refund if you buy 50 comics (again, foreign orders only).

I had this once. Sold it for $5. Found out a week later it's true value. Honestly, I still don't think I've gotten over it....

Got a bunch of original X-Factor issues including the Judgment Day crossover, Muir Island Saga (which crosses into Uncanny X-Men, too), and Mutant Massacre crossovers.

I also got the 2 X-Title crossovers X-Tinction Agenda and X-Cutioner's Song.

And I got a bunch of Batman issues including Batman: Year 3 (Tim Drake's origin), A Lonely Place of Dying, Prodigal (Bruce Wayne's first storyline after returning from Knightfall), and the first appearance of Bane and Jean-Paul Valley as Batman which actually happens a couple issues BEFORE Knightfall. Knightfall really should have began with that issue.

All of it here at CCL!

Just got 24 of the Amazing Spiderman #666 store variants. All are foreign store covers (Canada, UK, Italy and Australia). Thus putting a big dent in my ASM #666 gaps :)

Plus in same haul snagged ASM #528 Spiderham variant, #669 Cards and Comics variant & Wooten variant and ASM #667 Montreal variant.

3 days of haggling to get that deal done, lol
