one word: DREDD

brilliant movie. pity that there will be no sequel. According to comicbookmovie.com the problem was that DREDD fan base are in the UK / Europe. But at least we got a updated DREDD version Big Grin

My dad showed me an episode of the old black & white movie serial "Captain Video and his Video Rangers". About as cheesy as it can possibly get. But that kind of gave it a likable charm that made it bearable to watch:

Whenever the aliens (the guys in leather armor and helmets) showed up, the camera had a red tint, because of course they were in a different atmosphere on a different planet.

The scenes with the rocket in it, were hand-drawn animation, lol. And every line was given with the emotional impact of this guy from the Dry Eyes commercials:

I finally got around to watching The Cabin in the Woods this past weekend, I wasn't really expecting much, so was somewhat surprised...I liked it, I mean I won't watch it again, but I did like it.

Never noticed this thread before. There are weeks where I could fill this one.

Watched Helter Skelter (1976) last night. The guy who played Manson did an amazing job.

I thought it was funnier that Rob Corddry was in both.

Pretty damn good. If you're a fantasy fan, you need to check this one out. Some amazing visuals here.

Actually, saw most of it. Don't usually watch a movie in the middle but I couldn't stop watching. To me it was surprisingly good. Also, currently watching Samurai 7 on Netflix. I think I am on episode 11 or 12 now. Great anime series.

(referring to an original comic book piece) This is a art gallery my friend and THIS is a piece of art.

I watch a lot of movies on my computer, but the last movie I saw in a theatre was BEFORE SUNRISE. And that might be the only theatrical release I see this year. A movie has to be very special to get me to pay those theatre prices (and I like going to movie theatres, especially those old movie houses that are dying out).

Given the amount of stuff I watch on my computer, maybe it's time to invest in a bigger screen.

Watched Equilibrium last night - forgot how much I love that movie.
And I just finished GI Joe: Retaliation. Waaaay better than I thought it was going to be. I actually really enjoyed it.
