My hats off to DC. They do seem to keep some amazing artists.

I started off with justice league, flash, batman, detective, batman the dark knight and green lantern.i've lost interest in all but flash.i recently had been involved in a hit and run and only had liability on my truck so I had to buy another.it made it easier to drop my dc52 titles.the only one I still read is the flash and marvel's iron man.they all seemed to start off great,i loved the court of the owls but batman death of the family was way to involved with other titles and justice league seems to be going nowhere.

Too true. But at the same time, they seem to just be chasing off most of their good writers (not counting Johns).

Who do you think is doing the chasing? This is Geoff Johns' New 52 - you can write whatever you want and be as "creative" as you'd like with it, as long as you stick to what King Johns has decreed.

I really don't know, I'm not there. But I'd imagine with all the writing duties Johns' has, he'd be too busy to be catty.

After the reboot, I bought several titles (mainly in order to have first issues, by the way I’m quite regretful about not getting all of them) but now I’m following only three: Batman, Justice League and Flash. I’ll drop Justice League this month and frankly I’m not very satisfied with Batman as well (since the final issue of Owls).

I don’t know about the situation in the US, but I can say that the reboot has definitely boosted the sales of DC here.

The new 52 got me back into comics after a 20 year break. I was a X-men fan back in the 80's, now I pick up a X-book every once in awhile and have been disappointed every time. 70's was mostly about Flash and Wonder Woman which I've been slowly buying the back issues.

New 52 I really like

Batgirl, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, World's Finest, Supergirl

I also get these but they are not im my must get every month list

Justice League, Justice League of America, Batman

and I've bought these and will give them a few more issues before they either move up the list or off the list

Superman Unchained, Batman/Superman, Larfleeze, the Movement

The Villian Month coming up I'll probably be getting around 30 books.

yeah, I'm mostly being smartass, but every writer who's left has given the same reason: too much heavy-handed editorial oversight &/or interference.

Just picked up the Adventures of Superman last week, issues 1 and 2. The comic is a collection of short stories. Blah! What a waste of money. On the other hand, Batman and Superman has potential. I am liking the story so far.

Non-continuity short stories.
And crap at that. "What If", but with no imagination... I just dropped it after issue 2.

Yeah, I dropped it after issue 1. I guess I should have looked through the book before I bought it!

As for Johns being the one who is chasing the writers off: I'm not so sure. While Johns was responsible for laying down much of the groundwork of the new 52, he was not the only guy. Besides, I have seen little evidence that he is involved in any editorial duties. With the amount of books he writes every month, I couldn't even see how he could really be involved in that aspect of the business.

One thing I have noticed about DC is none of their top writers seem to have too much to complain about. I don't hear a lot of griping from Scott Snyder, Johns, Azzarello etc.

So, I have a feeling that the editorial staff doesn't have faith in the so-called second tier creators. Whether they are right or not.

Free shipping is available on ANY order $40.00 and above. No minimum books necessary. Whether it's 1 book or 100 books. If it's $40.00 or more, it ships FREE!

Also, if you buy 10 or more $1.00 books, all the $1.00 books are 25% off. Effectively making them $.75 books! I've got hundreds of them!

Come take a look!

I dropped all my DC books with the relaunch. And with the possible exception of the mixed reviewed Snyder/Capullo Batman run, there had been absolutely nothing said or written in the last two years to make me feel like I'm missing out. And with DC getting more and more gimmicky by the month (zero month, WTF covers, etc), it's hard to see that changing.

Really impressed with this months issues of Nightwing and Batman.
I didn't really care for the first part of Batman: Zero Year but with this months installment it got really good. Nightwing has been outstanding since issue 1, so no surprise there. How good is Nightwing you ask? Well before the relaunch the only time I would buy a Nightwing issue is when it was a tie in to a Batman story arc. Nightwing was not one of my favorite characters in the Bat-verse. Now its one of the books I really look forward to reading every month.

Here we are, what 2 years in now? And FINALLY, the DC Universe and it's characters feel like they are settling into their roles and it's starting to feel like a comic universe again. The characters are starting to show, well, character. They feel different from each other, and distinct now. When before, it felt like every New 52 character was trying to be edgier than the last one.

Question:
Are the two craziest DC guys; Ambush Bug and Psycho Pirate still the only ones who are aware of the existence of all the 52 Universes, or does the Flash now know as well?

Also:
Did the Spectre make an appearance yet?

Ambush Bug will always be the Ambush Bug. Not sure about Psycho Pirate and the Spectre has appeared in Phantom Stranger.
