I'm liking that Slott and Wacker aren't rushing Petey's return. There are still many fun stories that can be told with Doc Ock in the webs.

I'm looking forward to his clash with Scarlet Spider.

I'll also be curious to see if Peter will have to go on with the memories of what Otto has done during his tenure in that body. How will Peter go about mending the relationships torn at the hands of Otto? Will Pete actually be better off? Who will his true friends be in his time of need?

The more stories are told with Spock, the better caliber of stories we will get once Peter is back. And assuming that Doc Ock will be returned to "his" body (or a version of it), what will the dyanmic of the relationship be between the hero and the villain from that point on?

I'm very curious to what the future will hold for the Spidey books and that makes it all very interesting to me.

Marvel Comics has announced a new "Marvel Knights: Spider-Man" miniseries by Kindt and artist Marco Rudy, which features Peter Parker pitted against 99 of his deadliest villains in a trap set by none other than Murderworld architect and current "Avengers Arena" antagonist Arcade.

There Peter Parker is back as Spider-Man.

Really though, I mention this because every fan who is clamoring for Peter Parker's return, needs to buy this comic. If sales are low, Marvel corporate will say, "Look no one wants a Peter Parker as Spider-Man comic. SpOck for ever."

It isn't written by Slott, I'm actually tempted to get it myself. Anyone know how well Kindt's run on Ultimate was?

Do you think that, when Peter does come back the Doc will be dead for good or will there still be a bit of Docs psyche be left in Peters head making him more edgy.

i dont think DOC ock as we know will ever come back. these writers now-a-days are intent on keeping him a withered husk it seems. the last decent story where he was his classic self was wed of death i believe. but as for dead or left in petes psyche.... i dont think so.

hmm...I don't know how I missed that one.. I think he is setting himself up for a hard fall. It isn't going to take long before people start catching on to him... and in the process tarnish Spidey's reputation.

Then again I'm never right about anything, but it should still be a good read.

I'd like to know when Otto's vanity will win out and he goes back to wearing specs full time and gives Pete a Three Stooges Moe Howard pudding-bowl haircut, like he favoured all his years as Doc Ock.

I really hope Marvel isn't using this Peter Parker mini as a gauge for whether the public wants him back or not on the ongoing.

I know many people that pretty much ignore one-shots and mini-series and just go for the main-title because they know the one-shot/mini-series will likely have zero impact on the continuity of the character/ongoing story.

I want Parker back. I like SpOck, but Parker is spidey.

I won't be buying this mini though. Marvel's bent me over for my money too many times already.
