I just read all of Paradise X, and realized I never received issue #X, the final issue, when I thought I got the entire series in a purchase, so I went ahead of picked it up. And filled in a couple holes in my collection here or there. Nothing big.

I paid $900 for both the Chew and WD. I was actually only missing Chew #1-2 and WD #1-40. Now I just need Chew #1 and about a dozen or so of the WD to complete my collection. I'll get around to listing the rest of the WD that I didn't need in about a week or so.....

Actually, the set was for #9-112, I'm still missing #1-8 plus a few others. I'm hoping to make back most of my money back off selling issues #41+ and the Chew comics. As long as I come close, it will have been worth it, though.

Nice haul on the Walking Deads, always fun sorting through a purchase & figuring out if you managed to catch a deal or not. Sounds like it'll work out.

Couple more from the JA Collection, most of what I'm posting here is not for sale yet but will be eventually. I'll be shutting down for a bit but it'll be full steam ahead in the fall/winter. I WILL spend the extra penny to list books here since I have to inspect/grade/scan them anyway. I may set up a new thread for Treehouse scans so I don't have to send people to Ebay to see their books.

The JIM is the one book that IS listed here now (as a 3.0) (edit-sold). A big thankyou to Bill Grover for signing the Spidey for me.

Wow, Kingsman. Do the comic shops in your area not like making money? I mean, seriously.

In other news, I received the Witchblade #1 Ace edition today. Been wanting it for a while, but wasn't about to pay through the nose for it. Picked mine up for $10 delivered on eBay. Pretty happy.

Heya Tamwood: This particular shop owner has shared with me that gaming is becoming an increasingly larger portion of the business. The store will usually have incentive covers at the standard, increased prices for a couple of months. However, if they are unable to sell them after then, they simply go to the back issue bins where they offer Buck-A-Back-Issue sales.

Wowsers! Their gaming sales are better than comic sales, yet they routinely buy enough comics to get the 1:50 version (and sometimes the 1:150). They must sell a lot of games! Seriously, he could sell those variants online for $10-20+ easy! Has he never heard of e-Bay? Oh well, his loss is your gain!

Nice piece of comic history, there. Congrats!

Do they read as cheesy as an after-school special? Because that's what the covers look like.

They actually read pretty well. GL and GA find themselves on the trail of some drug pushers, and find out Speedy's on heroin during the course of the investigation. There are two one-page PSAs from the mayor of NY (?) about the dangers on drugs.
