You just inherited a million bucks and want to start a comic book company. What do you do? For me, I roll out very slowly. Start maybe one "new" title. I then acquire some PD characters and put them in a book and I also acquire some foreign titles for domestic translation. But, I keep it very slow and maybe only roll out three titles a year, and look if I can get some licensed properties. I do some of these so I can keep down costs and really pay the creators and creatives well. Creators get to keep the rights to their products and I promote downloads as much as I can. Your turn. you now have the company of your dreams and can do what you want. What do you do?

I would fulfill my dream and show my T.I.T.S. - A comic I have been wanting to finish but $$$$$ is my biggest obstacle. Enjoy:

I'd buy the rights to Deadpool, and make sure that nobody ever writes or draws a Deadpool story again.

And buy an orange wiffle bat and travel the world making sure that you bonk anyone on the head who even publicly express a desire to do so.

I'd get the rights to Turok and publish stories the way they were meant to be. Simple and entertaining. If today's readers couldn't care about that I wouldn't care either, at least I could read them and enjoy them.

The following stores are all stores that I've dealt with or have become friends with through the forums and I highly recommend them all.
Comics Castle-AKA Pat McCauslin
Alpha Comics--ComicVortex--Comic Cellar--Hall of Heroes--Swifty's Olde Tyme Comic Shoppe

Turok, like some other Dell/Gold Key Properties, is kind of under rated.

I would search for untapped artistic talent and let them tell the stories they want the way they want :)

I think Kevin Eastman lost something more than a million dollars with that approach....

Money to pay the artist is my biggest obstacle - Chris is awesome to work with but until I could make sure he was paid for at least 2 complete issues I held back - the finished first arc is 4 issues.

I have been paying child support of 750.00 a month until this past June, but now that is over and after catching up on some amassed bills I am shooting for having 2 complete issues done by April next year. Pray
