Pat's info here is in line with what Chuck Rozanski stated in an email a few weeks before the first 3D issues were supposed to hit shelves.

Yesterday morning, I decided to send a message to my LCS to make sure I had one of the elusive Joker's Daughter 3D covers. He confirmed that I did and I came down to clear out some of my sub box.

Little did I know that I actually got 2 copies... and at my 20% discount of cover price, no less.

Sorry. I had to tell someone. I'm thinking about using it as a giveaway prize on Twitter to help celebrate 4 years of blogging.

Man I really wanted the Joker's Daughter but since the allocation on this one seems to be small the prices are sky high. Funny, they seem to be everywhere on ebay and here. Just for 50 bucks...what gives. I have extras of other covers if anyone wants to trade a Joker's Daughter...man, maybe it'll come in second print form? Wall

Very happy with these. Great looking covers, and most of them had good origin stories for the villains.

Here's what I ended up getting:

-Action Comics #23.1 Cyborg Superman #1
-Action Comics #23.2 General Zod #1
-Action Comics #23.3 Lex Luthor #1
-Batman #23.1 The Joker #1
-Batman/Superman #3.1 Doomsday #1
-Earth-2 #15.2 Solomon Grundy #1
-The Flash #23.2 Reverse-Flash #1
-Green Lantern #23.1 Relic #1
-Green Lantern #23.2 Mongul #1
-Green Lantern #23.3 Black Hand #1
-Green Lantern #23.4 Sinestro #1
-Justice League #23.1 Darkseid #1
-Justice League #23.2 Lobo #1
-Justice League #23.4 Secret Society of Super-Villians #1
-Justice League of America #7.4 Black Adam #1
-Superman #23.2 Brainiac #1
-Superman #24.3 H’el #1

I wish I would have ordered the Two-Face, Bane, Ra's Al Ghul, and Deathstroke ones, too. Seeing how cool looking these were, now.

I think I have two or three of those you're missing. I haven't listed them for sale, but not looking to over price them. If you want them, I could do between five and seven bucks each for a returning customer. Let me know.

They're doing 2nd prints for all the 3D covers. I think I read it in the December solicits.

Thanks for putting the offer out there for me. But I have to pass. Money is tight.

I think most buyers of new books are broke this month. Thanks a lot, DC!

Word. Even though I wouldn't have liked to grab all the 3D covers, I ended up picking up a bunch in 2D instead just to save myself some $.

The only book I had planned on getting was the Dark Knight Mr. Freeze book, but ended up getting the Joker, and the two Teen Titans books (Trigon and Deathstroke) for my son.
I read the Batman: Joker book, nearly puked in disgust, and turned around and sold it on eBay - tripled my money.
I read the Mr. Freeze book...twice...and did the same - again, tripled my money. Then bought the regular 2D version for my Mr. Freeze collection.
I also read through some of the other titles while standing in the store...the stories I read were junk and like others have said, have nothing to do with the regular title's current story.

Trigon and Deathstroke were mediocre at best...but I couldn't convince my son to sell them and get the 2D versions. Cool

Winter is coming...

That number is based on orders with Diamond, not after market sales. If they had the product to fill the original orders the sales figures would have been higher.

The following stores are all stores that I've dealt with or have become friends with through the forums and I highly recommend them all.

So which covers were your favorite? I bought some from titles I don't even collect because I loved the art. The Green Lantern: Black Hand #1 comes into mind, i'm not a Green Lantern fan but the fact that the Black Hand is resurrecting zombies was awesome imo. The Batman covers were a given, I love anything and everything to do with the Batman Universe. Joker, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Joker's Daughter etc.. all brilliant covers in my opinion.

My least favorite ones were probably Lex Luthor, Zod, Brainiac, Dial E just to name a few. All and all I think this was an awesome idea from DC. I haven't bought new comic books in ages and this made me hunt for them at LCS.

^ They were all very nice looking. It was hard not to buy them all based on the covers alone. Best looking lenticular covers I've ever seen on a comic book.
