Interesting. Maybe he want WWII comic books to read while listening to music.

I hope the guy is for real to bad we don't have someone close who might could go check the guy out. Wouldn't it be cool if he was for real and might make some feel better knowing they've sent to someone who is reading them not just pulling a scam.

Well I read in another book forum someone e-mail the place in this was the reply they got.

I just received an email reply to my inquiry from the Care Center, and this is what they said:

Mr. XXXXXX is telling you the truth he does reside in our Assisted Living Community. He would greatly appreciate anything you could send him.

Thank you,

XXXXXXXXX

Executive Director

PS: I did not receive this request through Amazon Communications. It was sent to my actual email address from his.

I'd be wary of a personal request from someone looking for a free dole out. I'd be more than willing to donate my old, unwanted comics if I saw it was funded or attached to a high mucky-muck charity sponsoring.

I 3 emails and i snail mail from this person requesting free books all from different categories some being fairly rare and pricy. He seems to have developed a method of acquiring free books, comics, etc.

Here is the last email he sent:

Hi..I am writing to you at this time cause I am at my ropes end,and I
am trying to make the up coming hoildays liveable,My name is Larry I
have MS and now I have to live here in this place, you see I only have
one thing left in my liofe that keeps me going and that is reading
True Crime books,The problem is once I pay my high rent here and get
the meds I need I can no longer buy any books. And since I had a
problem with the city library I can no longher check out any books. So
I am reaching out to you to ask if you got any "True Crime" books or
any books by "Anne Rule" that you could please send to me? I would be
very greatful to you for any help,,also if you got any questions you
can call the nuirse or staff here at..360-693-2402..

Thank You For Your Time

I enjoy helping when I can but this is in my opinion a scam.
