Share your latest musical discovery that you think should be shared with the world right here.

I don't know about you, but I think it's awesome when I discover a new band I fall in love with. And if it's a relatively unknown band, then I like to share it with others. I'd also like to see what you guys are into and if it'll lead to something good for me as well. Big Grin

I think most of you know that I'm a big metal-head. So it won't come as any surprise that my pick is a metal band:

Fantastic metal band with that sounds a lot like In Flames with some Pantera and Killswitch Engage influence mixed in there. I recently picked up their album "Mind Tricks" and I can't stop listening to it. The entire album is actually up on YouTube:

Disarmonia Mundi - Mind Tricks (Full Album)

My absolute favorite song by them right now, is on the same album, it's called "A Taste of Collapse"

Disarmonia Mundi - A Taste of Collapse

If you're into In Flames, Scar Symmetry, All That Remains, or Killswitch Engage; then check these guys out.

Winery Dogs.
Metal with a classic rock vibe and a bit of funk.
Richie Kotzen sings and plays guitar
Mike Portnoy drums (Dream Theater and Adrenaline Mob), the guy is a bona-fide bad-ass.
Billy Sheehan plays bass. Another bona-fide bad-ass.

Their song Elevate gets me going every time I hear it. This video does a great job of showing how Billy beats that bass up - plays it like it's a 6 string...

Thanks Xylob - I'll have to give their whole album a listen. I remember Billy Sheehan from Mr. Big - he is a helluva bassist.

I only discovered one band - a couple of Jewish boys out Brooklyn in the early seventies.

Nope! KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Applause

I'm a punker at heart but I do enjoy other genres of music. I would recommend ZZ Ward , Blues meets Hip-Hop meets R&B ala Alicia Keys

As a teenage, my ex-wife told me once that she saw a New Wave band at a music festival in the early 80's called Blue Angel, and thought that the singer had a lot of talent and they would probably go far. Turns out the band broke up less than a year later. The lead singer was Cyndi Lauper.

Although she was too young to see them when they played CBGB's early on, she also got to see The Ramones more than a dozen times. I was always amazed when she would describe some of the dives they played at and how not many people showed up. Maybe The Romones just toured so much that everyone figured they would have dozens of opportunities to see them. The way she described some of these venues, though......
