The conditions for the list was comic book-based or super hero games. And it was argued that Darkwing Duck is a super-hero, even if it is done by Disney.

Nightshade on NES was another questionable one, I thought, since it has no tie to any actual existing comic book. And I thought Masters of the Universe didn't belong because it was a cartoon before it was a comic book. But again, the super hero card was used.

90% of console video games have a hero in them able to incredible feats but, 90% is probably way off there is alot more sports and fps out now. which i really didn't think about before i threw out that 90%

but if your going to count darkwing duck and he man why isn't mario, metroid, mega man etc.. not included. they all have some sort of special super power or skill or costume with gadgets.

well with that logic 90% of video games would be on your list

90% of video games are about super-heroes?

90% of console video games have a hero in them able to incredible feats but, 90% is probably way off there is alot more sports and fps out now. which i really didn't think about before i threw out that 90%

but if your going to count darkwing duck and he man why isn't mario, metroid, mega man etc.. not included. they all have some sort of special super power or skill or costume with gadgets.

Like I said, I wouldn't have included them. It was a group effort.

However Darkwing Duck is obviously an archetype of Batman, it's far different than Mario or Metroid.

Maybe I'm wrong, cause I'm not a Masters Of The Universe fan, but didn't He-Man's comic book appearance pre date the cartoon and toy line?

I guess you're right. Just looked it up, and Wikipedia supports that. I would have bet money the cartoon was first. Comic was in 1982, cartoon the following year.

So I suppose I have to now begrudgingly agree with the others guys that MOTU does belong.

Just wanted to put in my two cents here. Darkwing Duck was a comic book before it was a cartoon show? I actually kinda hate seeing him listed as a comic book based video game, myself. I'll deal with it tho. Not Talking

All the original Action Figures came with mini-comics (01/82) and DC Presents 47 (7/82) is the 1st appearance in mainstream comics before MOTU 1 (12/82)

Thats quite a list. Dick Tracy for the NES and The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the SNES are 2 of my favorites. In fact, I still play the Dick Tracy ROM on my computer here and there.. its alot harder then I remember.
