I recently submitted a title request for a hardcover copy of Astro City: Life in the Big City.
It looks like it was added incorrectly as an outcome of that request.
If you look at the softcover trades on CCL, there are multiple printings entered for:
Kurt Busiek's Astro City: Life in the Big City (1996)
There is not an entry for the DC Comics printing. Further, there are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. printings for the Image comics version, and there are also 1st & 2nd printings for the DC version (and perhaps more). So should the DC versions be listed as 6 & 7th printings, or 1st & 2nd?
Also, if you check with the ISBN registry, the official title on file for the Image ISBN's is:
Life in the Big City (Astro City, Vol. 1)
There is no "Kurt Busiek's Astro City..." on file with ISBN. For the DC version, the title on file is:
Astro City: Life in the Big City (New Edition) and the indica inside the book states:
Astro City: Life in the Big City
Again, no "Kurt Busiek's"
Finally, DC is the first company to print a hardcover version of this book, so the hardcover entry on CCL should not contain any mention of Image/Homage/Wildstorm as it would indicate these publishers printed a hardcover version of the book, when in fact they have never. It is currently unique to DC.
For these reasons, I think the Hard Cover entry for this book should be updated to:
Astro City: Life in the Big City as the title, and DC as the sole publisher mentioned. Further, you may want to revisit how this is listed under trades, since technically the DC & Image versions have different titles, and DC started "renumbering" by using first and 2nd printings.
