What I find frustrating about websites, not just CCL, is the incredible waste of viewing space. Most people today probably have, or will eventually have, widescreen monitors. When was the last time you saw a monitor with less than a 20" screen for sale? Looking at this forum page right now, there is at least 3-4 inches on both sides of just wasted space. It is way past time that web developers start making pages that utilize the entire screen and not just a strip in the middle.

You know this used to bug me to no end, but they do have a reason for it. Most sites are built on a world standard, not a US standard. While the US has about 250million internet users, "poor" nations account for about 5 times that. So while americans enjoy 24" flat screen monitors, these 3rd world countries still operate on old tv style monitors.

The one thing that is worse then a website that has wasted borders is a website so large you have to scroll side to side to read.

+1. Ugh... I hate having to scroll left/right to read a webpage.

Of course, even if this were to happen tomorrow, CCL would still not take advantage of it for at least a couple more decades since that would mean they'd actually have to update the site.

I don't have a widescreen 24" monitor, I've got a 16" laptop monitor Mr. Moneybags! Winking

That's why I don't like using the internet on any of those handheld devices. The screen is too darn small and it's constantly scroll right, scroll left, scroll down, scroll right, etc...

Blah, I say!

I've got a 16" laptop too. My desktop monitor is only 22" but I am thinking of upgrading to a 25" when I get my taxes back.
