Forward it on to the helpdesk email address, attention Joe. He needs to see which adds are causing this and what's popping up.

ok, this is very helpful. I have escalated this with my providers. currently we do not allow content that is obtrusive. Some sneaky media company is slipping this in their feed.

I'll get to the bottom of it. Any specific info that you can provide helps. Thanks again, and so sorry for the trouble.

I have cut off the suspected vendor for a few days till they get this resolved. If you see it again, please post here and provide any screen shots or specific info so I can trouble shoot.

Thanks!

How are things now? My team has been looking into this. They think they have found the culprit and have removed them. Please post here if you experience this again.

Now I just got a popup telling me to update my browser and opening the following URL in a new tab:

http://newbrowserversion.org/f/index.html

Seems to be getting worse, not better.

Yeps I just got this as well and even more (banned).

I seriously suggest CCL owners either:

Remove all banners

Replace TribalFusion with Adsense or Adbrite or any company that doesnt promote phishing or spyware.

Replace all banners with advertisements for the CCL stores that keep this place open.

No they said they took care of it, and it is pretty obvious they did nothing. The banners are still active, in fact it appears more phishing popups have been added.

Phishing is a very serious matter and I dont think Joe is taking it seriously. If I found a new comic store and went to visit and got hit with a phishing attack I would NEVER buy anything from them or return. Joe should have removed the banners entirely until his "Team" made sure all the popups were gone.

I don't think these guys realize how much money they could make if they just got rid of the garbage & make it a simple & fun place to shop. TreehouseComics.com sounds better every day. Maybe OneStopComicShop.com? New software may be coming but the people running it will be the same so it makes me wonder if 5.0 will merely be improved adware.

CCL should know by now that when you hang out with the girl on the corner you're going to pick up some nasties.

OK, I shut down our biggest provider who I think is the one with the problem. If that doesn't clear things up, I will shut off the other one as well.

I assure you we only have 2, and both are very reputable. We have been doing business with them for 13 years. One is Value Click, and the other is Tribal Fusion. Both very reputable. I have trouble tickets into both of them, and I have provided this forum link for them to monitor as well.

Any specifics that you can post will help them to trouble shoot.

Thanks.

Also, it would be interesting to know if you are just getting this in the forums? Or if you are also getting it on the shopping and library pages.

A few months back, we had a forum user who had his signature picture hosted on a site that was causing similar issues. Once he removed the signature graphic, the problem stopped.

Anyway, so sorry for the issues. We are working on it. Your posts are helping. Appreciate you taking the time to provide us with info.

Also,I'll take this into account on our next release. Maybe we will control all of the advertisements ourselves, so we don't run into this.
