Thanks for sharing this. I have fond memories of this issue. This comic was my first "big purchase" as a kid at my second comic book show. Eight bucks circa 1988 or so. I thought I was a high roller.

The hardcovers were from a brick and mortar BAM. We were out shopping about 50 miles from home and this BAM carries a ton of discounted Marvel books (unlike the local one).

Yeah the closest Books-a-million for me is an hour or more away and they never have squat. I'm a fanatic for any Marvel Hardcovers so I'm always looking for a good deal on any. I've lucked out once or twice at my local Barnes & Noble but nothing special.
