WHATCHA GONNA DO, BROTHER, WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON THE WWE AGAIN?!

Is this setting the table for Sting's return, too? Because Sting is still dropping hints about him appearing in the actual WWE, not just the video game.

For those of you that somehow don't know, you can get the WWE Network for $9.99. God, them saying $9.99 so many times was almost as annoying as those god awful "Yes" and "CM Punk" chants that the crowd randomly starts.

The way they said "surprise guests" will come celebrate with Hogan made me think that they were possibly talking about Sting.

Also, when Brie told Stephanie that Karma always comes back to get you, am I the only one that thought Kharma, the wrestler that the Bellas ripped on for being pregnant, would come out and destroy the Bellas?

That woman is seriously scary. Most legit female wrestler since Chyna.

Looking like Smackdown moving back to Thursdays. Though the picture could be Photoshopped, it seems believable.

Friday nights are usually a death-toll for shows, so I guess this is showing progress.

But then Main-Event was on Thursdays, too, and it got cancelled. So who knows.

and

The latest additions to my wrestling collection. Some really good ones! The VHSes are better than the DVD on the Best of Raws, because the DVD release only collects the first 2 volumes! Those Best of Raws cover 1997-2001, pretty much the best era in WWF!

I got to thinking after seeing the choices that the fans "voted" on for the Rollins/Ambrose match last night.

Is there an actual difference between the following match stipulations: No Holds Barred, No Disqualification, Hardcore (Extreme Rules), and Falls Count Anywhere? It seems that No Holds Barred and No Disqualification are essentially the same thing and that Hardcore and Falls Count Anywhere are the same thing. I may be way off the rocker here but I thought the matches had the following rules:

No Holds Barred - exactly what it says. A regular match but with choke holds and hair pulling legal and not have to break holds with in the ropes with pin occurring in the ring

No Disqualification - anything goes (weapons, illegal holds, run-ins) with pinfall in the ring

Hardcore - anything goes and falls can happen anywhere

Falls Count Anywhere - regular match rules apply only thing different being that a pin can occur outside the ring

We said the same thing last night when we happened to turn it on. The match looked and felt like it would have been the same no matter what the results were. On a side note, it was nice to see that type of action back in the WWE. Since getting the network and watching PPV for almost 5 months now, that type of action has been missing and really outside of the year of 2005-2006 this was nice to see the "attitude" type match. Here is to me hoping we see more of that going forward as the crowd seemed really into it. (Except the 6 year Olds in the front row)

A championship that endured for over a century, and it's getting retired. What a shame.

1985-2014 is 29 years, not more than a century. Or am I missing something?

That particular design for the belt lasted 29 years.

I think what they're going for with the "over a century" statement is that the battle for that belt (though it looked different) is what has lasted over a century. I don't know the exact history but it's the belt that was fought for in NWA, WCW, then WWF/E.

Yep, dates back to George Hackenscmidt and Frank Gotch, legitimate wrestlers and legitimate world champions that defended their belts around the world. And one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports history. Their "world champions" were combined to make the NWA/WCW/World Heavyweight Championship.

FINALLY...the WWE does not require a 6-month commitment!

You can still do the $9.99 a month for 6-months, or $12.99 a month with no commitment.

So, I was home one night, flipping channels, and I stumbled across a broadcast of that week's Impact Wrestling. It's utter crap. No wonder the WWE has no competition or need to improve their product.

Two big pieces of wrestling news today, fans:

Sting confirmed to compete in a WWE wrestling ring!

I know, I can hear the cries of, "He's too old!" already. But last I saw him in a ring (TNA), he still had what it takes to put on a great match.

http://www.christiantoday.com/article/sting.wwe.news.debut.face.undertaker.or.john.cena/40358.htm

And the financial woes continue for WWE. Like I've said recently, the entire wrestling world, whether we're talking WWE or not, just continues to implode.

According to the story, WWE stopped paying CM Punk royalty checks due to a breach of contract. (Personally, I don't blame them. He literally walked out on them mid-contract.) So now CM Punk is suing WWE for using his likeness in WWE 2K15 without royalties. (While I agree CM Punk did breach his contract, WWE never should have put him in the game if that's the way they were gonna play it.)

Wasn't the game already produced before CM Punk left? I'm not sure what the true story is but if he did walk out, he is in breach of contract, and in my opinion, is not entitled to any royalties.

On a separate note, 12 days until I go to Night of Champions. The first pay per view in my town since WWE Judgment Day when Kurt Angle lost his hair (man it's been a while).
