There was no comics in my box this week. So I went to Barnes & Noble and picked this guy up, instead. I've picked it about 20 times and put it back on the shelf, so it's cool I finally got it. The reason I've done that so many times is because it has a $20 price tag, but it is really thick and has a lot of content. It also feels like a better quality paper and cover than your average magazine, too. So it's worth $20, I think.

I haven't actually read it yet, just wanted to share what I got on here.

You won't be disappointed. I got ahold of that myself a little while ago. It is full of images and neat content. Not a whole lot of earth shattering info. But a really cool item.

Yup, as soon as I get around to scanning them, I'll see if they're needed in the database.

My first order ever from Treehouse Comics:

That copy of Irredeemable has already been "destroyed"... As I was going through my issues of the title preparing them for binding I discovered my #11 was missing. Doug's price is what prompted the purchase as stores in my area were wanting around $6 for a copy in worse condition than his $0.80 copy.

That dude knows how to package some funny books for shipping!

I save up and try to get one or two low number issues a year. My Amazing Spider-Man want list is now down to #1 to #7, #9 and #13. Nine issues.

Very Nice Acquisitions!!!
Makes me happy to see someone looking for and finding older Silver.
My hunt for those books was before the internet and eBay so there was always excitement when I found one at the right price at a LCS or small local, monthly convention.
Good Luck with your hunt, hope you feel the same joy and excitement as I did when you locate the books you are searching for.

Nice, I still have a long ways to go. Just trying to fill the gaps between 230 and 529 now. Then I'll concentrate on everything under 229.

I don't expect to actually purchase issues 100 and under, but we'll see.

It's hard for me to justify some of those more expensive books and saving money isn't an option for me.

I just picked these up, now to get them added to the database. They are listed in the promotional section of Overstreet as Oxydol-Dreft.

The following stores are all stores that I've dealt with or have become friends with through the forums and I highly recommend them all.

I did the same thing! I went back to issue 73... then I was told that it was actually 70 or 71 came out in June of 1969... so I picked AMS up til 70... but the auction for 70 had 47,48,51-65, 66-70... now I go back to issue 51 to current... issue 50 in VG shape sells for $110-$140... so I will be stuck on 51 for a long time.
