The one thing I seemed to want every Christmas that I never got was a model train set. In fact, I did have a model train set--a small one--but I don't know what happened to that. But that's not what I pined for. I wanted a big model train set up, like you would always see on TV sitcoms. Really what I wanted was a dedicated space just for a model train, where you could set up tunnels and bridges and stations. But there wasn't enough room in my bedroom for that and my parents would not have given up so much space in the basement for such a thing.

Yet, even after I was all growed up, I never indulged myself and bought myself this kind of set-up.

G.I. Joe Terrordrome. I saw this for the first time at a traders market while on vacation. Even if I could have afforded it, I had no way to get it back home.

I think I would have found a way. Even if I had to sell the kids and the car and walk home with it strapped to my back. Laughing

I buy and sell G.I. Joe toys all the time. Through the years I have come across many awesome items like Rolling Thunder, The General, Ninja Battles Playset, Transportable Tactical Battle Platform, the battery powered MOBAT, several of the straight-arm figures - but the Holy Grail has been out of my reach.

Recently I had a friend tell me that he had a USS Flagg in the attic at his mom's house and he would let me sell it. Sadly, it turned out his mother had given it to the Goodwill several years ago without telling him. Can you imagine going into a Goodwill and finding that on the shelf?

So, I still don't have one...Sad

Ha, I remember back in the day when Diamondback & Red Line were the hot bikes. Being a paperboy didn't pay much so I had to settle for a Rampar, I hit every jump possible with that thing.

As for one item I wanted but never got it's probably the Green Machine.

For me, the toy I remember "wanting" more than anything in my childhood was Castle Grayskull.

He-Man was THE action figure set to have. By the time Ninja Turtles came around after that, I had already started moving on from action figures. I was into Legos and Atari/Nintendo and riding my bike at that point.

I dunno, Kelly never really did that much for me. Besides, time is not always kind.
