If you haven't heard yet: Disney Rips Spidey From Sony

So much for seeing Spider-Man as an Avenger. Broken Heart

I have to create an account to read garbage from the New York Times? That's funny.

Anyway, this isn't over. Sony has Disney by the balls on this one. Here's a great analysis.

As much as I really do love Spider-man in the MCU, I really dislike the idea of the big studios getting bigger. I think the last thing Spider-man needs is Disney having a bigger stake. I'm still stunned that the Disney/20th Century Fox merger didn't face more of a challenge from the Trump administration, considering how surprisingly anti-merger they've been for most of the administration so far.

But as the analysis pointed out, this is likely a negotiating tactic rather than the endgame.

I have seen the ongoing negotiations, hopefully they will be able to keep Spidey in the MCU! Daydreaming

Not ecstatic that The House of Mouse continues to get huger but I do think the movies would be better if they could use any character they want without having to ask permission.

Quick question, who now owns the rights to the Fantastic Four? Did Disney get them too?
