I was quite surprised that there is no thread for the DC Comics current TV show. I have now seen the first 6 episodes and I think it is quite good. Especially those little hints about the DC universe (Mask of Deathstrike, Blüdhaven and Deadshot) are simply brilliant. The Ollie Queen actor is also awesome. And Laurel??? Simply hot  I am not quite sure why they named Oli's ex-girlfriend Laurel Lance and not Dinah (Black canary). And why is Oli's city called Starling City instead of Star City? Otherwise I am sure that this "list" will only last 1 or 2 seasons just like Smallville's "freaks". Also like with Smallville, I am hoping for further heroes and villians to turn up in the show. As for the success, I was happy to read that it will receive it's 2nd season

I'm pretty sure they gave her full name as Dinah Laurel Lance on the show.

I've been watching it from the beginning, and I think it's great. IMO they are doing an awesome job keeping it grounded in reality (as much as possible) but still incorporating elements of the DCU. Her name is Dinah Laurel Lance, but she goes by Laurel. At some point (this season I believe) they are introducing her mother and she will be going by Dinah. From what I remember reading before the show aired, the powers that be thought Starling City sounded less "campy" than Star City.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say neither of them will have it, since they are trying to keep it grounded in reality. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
