Okay-so I got blasted on my disdain of shrinking powers. Let's try this: powers/abilities you LIKE but probably aren't practical. I love archery oriented characters, but let's be fair-unless you're raining hell down on Norman Knights-the age of the gun has rendered them obsolete. I love archery poses though. Also, wings. Wings just look great. But, have you ever considered how much they would get in the way, much less lift a human-sized creature?

Pretty much any super ability that enhances your ability to cause destruction or death (e.g. energy from hands, metal claws, etc.)
It's not practical because you'd just land yourself in prison for assault or murder...unless you have a habit of attracting home invaders.

It seems to me that if you were invisible you would also be blind. One way of being invisible is bending light rays around you--but if the light rays are going around you, then you can't see them--so you're blind. Another way of being invisible is light rays pass right through you. But if they pass through you then they can't land on your optic nerve.

Other versions of invisiblility seem to be really psychic powers or illisuion casting powers--you mentally make people not see you or you create some kind ol illusion that cloaks you. But then those are really very different powers beyond just invisibility.
