I would like to submit a CR for this comic but I have been unable to find any documentation or verification for it. The indica reads only "Produced by Information Materials Press, N.Y.C."

On the inside cover, under a text piece titled "The Right to Bear Arms" it says,

"Winchester-Western Division
Olin Mathieson Chemical Corporation"

The only date I could find in the entire book is on the back cover under an advertisement for ammunition. 1956 with the same corporation name as above with the addition of the location - New Haven, Conn - and Form No. 2247-IMP-1MM-456

I am stumped and would appreciate any help.

I love how the back cover danced around just how the gun won the west and "blazed new trails" on the frontier--by blowing away Indians!

Yeah, it's pretty offensive by today's standards. So I'll just laugh about it.

You got it, thanks Corey!

Yeah, the whole thing reads like propaganda of sorts. There are ads for ammo and a two page spread in the middle showing how they build the rifles. After the History part they have the requisite Gun Safety Rules.

The copy I have also has a raffle ticket included for a Winchester Trap Gun. Only Seventy-Five cents!

If there is no indicia then I would enter it under the full title of "Story of Winchester, the Gun that Won the West."

The following stores are all stores that I've dealt with or have become friends with through the forums and I highly recommend them all.
Comics Castle-owned & operated by Pat McCauslin
Alpha Comics--ComicVortex--Metropolis Connections 2.0--Comic Cellar
