Can't wait for this to happen:
http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/marvel-joins-with-netflix-for-new-tv-shows-featuring-daredevil-jessica-jones-iron-fist-and-luke-cage
If done right this could be epic. I've seen some of Netflix's original programming and they don't skimp on the production value. Add some Marvel money to the mix and I think we've got ourselves a winner.

Please, please, please get the Daredevil costume right this time!
... and the Elektra costume too if she is introduced in the series! And she should look like Elektra this time too!

The movie costume was wrong?
Looks like they got it right, to me, except for the zipper which seems like a small thing.

The Daredevil movie costume was fine. Only real difference was the smaller "DD" on his chest.
Hopefully these shows won't be as light-hearted as the Avengers movies. I'm fine with the family-friendly fare of the Avengers, but something more dark would be nice for a change. I think this is the reason why they chose to go with Netflix. More focused viewership, don't have to cater to the masses that, by now, are expecting light and fun with their superhero stuff. Netflix also allows them to do vitually unlimited shows at one time, since there isn't the problem of limited time slots to fill.

I didn't think Elektra's costume was all that bad either....now her movie on the other hand.
The only thing I'm disappointed in is: 2015. That's a long time to wait for TV shows.

I agree on the Elektra stuff. I didn't think her movie was bad, per se. I just thought it was soooo boring! Director Rob Bowman sprinkled his Mediocre Dust all over that one...
But between this announcement and all the movies hitting, 2015 might be the Best Year Ever.

Sorry, but the whole thing was leather and Affleck looked like something out of a bad S&M porno. Just imagine if they did the same thing to Spider-Man.
I bet Affleck was making those annoying scrunchy noises the whole time he was on the set.

Straight spandex looks fine in the comics. Not so much for the movies. It's also not very practical for a hero to run around in plain spandex. I think the bulkier/leather outfits (Daredevil, Batman, X-Men, Captain America) look better on film.

Disagree. Spider-Man and Superman pulled it off and I don't think Captain America's movie costume was leather. As far as not practical, I couldn't disagree more. You don't see gymnasts and other athletes performing in leather.

Gymnasts aren't engaging in hand to hand combat and opening themselves up to injury from other gymnasts.

No, but they are doing amazingly agile movements like Daredevil does. Leather isn't going to stop a bullet or a knife if it's thrusted hard enough.

But it does dampen damage from impacts/punches.

Well at least roadrash.....
I really can't believe this argument is going on.....that being said. All they need to do is add Batman body armor and he's good to go.

It looked like leather in his first movie (besides the cotton spandex he wore as an army entertainer). It was padded cloth in The Avengers, but I think he's back to leather in the second Captain movie. The costumers have to come up with something practical that it wouldn't obviously look as if it could be punctured through by a straw bullet, etc. Leather can still be pierced through easily, maybe make superhero movie costumes out of other materials, ie carbon fiber?

Because body armor worked so well in the comics for him...
