As some of you may know, Kon died during "Krypton Returns". Shortly before in Teen Titans Annual 2013 a new Superboy is introduced:

Jon Lane Kent.

Whilst I applaud the introduction of this new character, I am also slightly disapointed that the son of Superman is a Lane. That of course means that Lois Lane and Clark Kent do hook up eventually even though DC is currently promoting the Wonder Woman / Superman relationship with their own comic.

Other than that I can't wait for the interactions between Superman, Lois Lane & Wonder Woman with Jon. Combine that with Superboy being a murderer (?) makes a bright future for the Superboy comic.

Let's hope that the writers keep the comic interesting.

A Lois Lane / Superman pairing that produces Jon Kent is not a foregone conclusion. We could be looking at a person from an alternate timeline that never comes to pass, or we could be looking at a person created by artificial means from Lois' and Clark's respective DNA.

that may be a possibility. As I said, the series has opened a load of whole line of new story line. Now it is up to the writers to capatilise on this.

I am liking that Lois Lane and Superman have a child. I don't care if it's this universe or another. I hate that Wonder Woman and Superman ever hooked up. Almost more than a Jean Grey and Wolverine romance. Jean Grey/Scott Summers, Peter Parker/ Mary Jane, Superman/Lois, Batman/Catwoman, Green Arrow/Black Canary, Antman/Wasp. Every time one of these couples break up. I feel like kid who's parents just divorced. Black Panther/Storm's break up had me bummed for weeks. Boy did I digress.

This brings up the famous question from Mallrats about Superman's unborn child kicking a hole through Lois's womb and stomach.

I agree especially with the Jean Grey / Wolverine crap. But I kind of like the Wonder Woman / Superman thing, it is a change of pace. Not always Clark Kent / Lois Lane and anyway it puts Diana more in the Spotlight.

Don't feel bad. 2001 was pretty forgettable.

That and the fact that it was more like an Elseworlds than anything else.

I really enjoyed a lot of the 2001 Annuals due to the "Elseworlds" feel of it all. I actually read that issue a LOT as a kid, because it was one of the first issues that were personally mine and not from my dad's collection.

I enjoy Elseworlds style stories as well, and when these first came out, I bought pretty much all of them. But because they were pretty must alternate universe stories and didn't impact the main DC universe, they had a tendency to be forgettable in the long run.
