Here is the NFL Playoff Competition for 2021. Rules are same as last year.

These were the rules played by last year, if any objections let me know.

Everyone is welcome to participate in this competition, no matter if you played in the regular season one or not.

Rules are simple. Pick the winner, no point spreads, no Lock Picks. You have to make your picks before the games start.

Scoring structure:

Wild Card Weekend - Each correct game pick - 5 pts
Divisional Round - 10 pts
Conference Championship - 15 pts
Super Bowl - 20 pts

I do not plan on including the Pro Bowl this year (unless majority rules and demands it) as it is apparently going to be played on Madden 21. The weekend was random and difficult enough to pick as it was anyway.

Well... a trend that I didn't want to continue last year is now the same trend that I want to continue this year:

In every Titans/Ravens playoff match-up, the road team has won.

And against my better judgment, I'd be up for a one week flair bet for the game again this year.

I will go for the bet.

I think it's funny that the talking heads on Sports TV/Radio have been hyping up the trash talk between some members of the Washington Football Team and Tom Brady.

What trash talk? What I have been hearing is guys saying things like, "Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time, I'm looking forward to playing against him." and things like that. There isn't any "trash talking" it's been all very respectful.

Of course you look forward to playing against the best. What should they be saying? He sucks, we're going to crush him, overrated? C'mon.

Moving on...

Here are the reasons why the Fighting The Washington Football Team will beat the Buccaneers on Saturday.

#1 - The last time a 7-9 team won their division and advanced to the playoffs was in 2014 when the Ron Rivera coached Carolina Panthers won the NFC South. They hosted the Arizona Cardinals coached by one Bruce Arians and the Panthers prevailed.

Rivera now coaches at Washington (7-9 division winner) and is hosting Arians and his Bucs.

#2 - Tom Brady has a 35% completion percentage, 0 TD's and 5 INT's this year when under pressure. Washington has Chase Young. Ryan Kerrigan. Montez Sweat. Daron Payne. Jonathan Allen.

#3 - The Buccaneers will go all Philadelphia Eagles and pull Brady in the second half so they can sub in Blaine Gabbert.

OK, I'm sure there are many more reasons why the REDSKINS will beat the Fancy Pirates but don't have the time to list them right now.

I don't get why more teams don't send all out pressure on Brady. I've been thinking that whole time he's been playing. He doesn't like to get touched, mess with the guy's head.

#4 - So they can get scheduled to play on NBC in the second round of the playoffs, putting yet more pressure on the Gray TV/Verizon pissing match for a third straight week.

Actually I forgot the #1 reason and that is, "Why not?"

Washington has already outperformed all of the experts predictions by winning the division and going to the playoffs, actually hosting a game. Sure 7-9 isn't the greatest record but no one saw Ron Rivera taking them to the playoffs in his first year.

All of the pressure is on Tompa, Washington is playing with house money. Everyone starts the playoffs at 0-0.

Gotta have something to do with Virginia Tech. Are those all teams that Tyrod Taylor has played for?

Nah...otherwise I'd go with the Browns. But that would account for 3 of the 12 teams playing this weekend.

It's the teams with Hokies on the active roster. Although, TB has coaches from VT, and the Browns have a player too, but I think COVID is going to be too much for them.

Apparently no one told Taylor Heinicke that he wasn't supposed to win yesterday because he almost damn near did it. The one word that I can think of to describe him is, "Gutsy". Dude flew through the air like Superman to score that TD. He was under constant pressure and didn't let it bother him much. I wish that we had gotten some of that pressure on Brady.

Heiny dislocated his shoulder and didn't miss a play. He only signed a short term contract so I believe that he is a Free Agent at the moment? Man, I hope that Washington signs him long term. Either way, I'm sure he will get interest from other teams.

Dang, if only we had him a few months ago instead of that dead weight Dwayne Haskins.

Fun game to watch even though it didn't turn out like I hoped. Next year is going to be something.
