You read the poll. In AVENGERS vs X-MEN #11 (on stands today), a key MARVEL character takes a dirt nap. Without spoiling it for everyone, I won't post who it is, but if you do some noising around...the media has picked this story up and will gladly spoil it for you should you wish to be spoiled.

SPOILERS BELOW!!!Highlight Over to read: What I hate is that the Prof hasn't been a 'key' Marvel character for a number of years. Marvel has quietly shifted him to the background since Brubaker's Deadly Genesis/Rise and Fall of the Shiar Empire arcs. He's was shot in the head and supposedly killed at the end of Messiah Complex, and been almost non-existent since the first arc in Mike Carey's X-Men Legacy.
So, suddenly, he's made appearances in every AvX book for the past month and it's supposed to be a tragic 'stand-the-test-of time' event? It's happened before and it'll happen again. Hopefully, he'll come back in a wheelchair like he's supposed to. In the meantime, Magneto should take charge.

The payoff for this series sucks almost as much as the series itself. Boooooring.

I thought the death of Xavier was handled well. It did seem a bit emotional since Scott was basically like his oldest son. As for it having a lasting meaning or not...probably not. This is Marvel Comics we're talking about here. I mean, DC is just as guilty at times, but it's not nearly as often since they have legacy characters often take over the role. I was hoping Magneto had a little more up his sleeve. That was the biggest disappointment this issue, for me. I'm still wondering: Where the hell is Cable? It's been far too long for the recovering excuse, and his body should be able to heal him at a phenomenal rate since it's no longer busy fighting the Phalanx Virus. The series as a whole I'm pretty entertained with. It started off a little meh, but the last half of the series has been fantastic and action-packed. ***CHECK OUT MY COMIC TRADING LIST, CLICK HERE******TRADE VIDEO GAMES WITH ME, CLICK HERE******TRADE COMIC CARDS WITH ME, CLICK HERE***Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules here

The whole thread is about someone dying, the title even says so. Didn't think I needed a spoiler alert here. ***CHECK OUT MY COMIC TRADING LIST, CLICK HERE******TRADE VIDEO GAMES WITH ME, CLICK HERE******TRADE COMIC CARDS WITH ME, CLICK HERE***Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules here

Funny, after civil war I couldn't stand Iron Man. Now after AvX I feel about the same about Cap. Yeah Scott was made out to be the villain but at least he was pushed into his roles. First he was backed into a corner by Cap & his my way or the highway demand on cycs own doorstep. With his authority being challenged right in front of his family. Then the Phoenix force was manipulating him and the other four. What was Caps excuse? He was a scared jerk the whole time just because his crew wasn't in control. While a cool story, didn't like were it left the marvel U. This is one event i could've done without.
On a side note, I loved everything about the Vs series.

Especially that last one, I can't even believe they printed the last issue. They didn't have enough material for a full issue, so they just crammed some random crap into it to fill the pages. And the rest of the series was completely generic and uninspired, IMO. ***CHECK OUT MY COMIC TRADING LIST, CLICK HERE******TRADE VIDEO GAMES WITH ME, CLICK HERE******TRADE COMIC CARDS WITH ME, CLICK HERE***Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules here

I laughed all the way through the last issue. It was great.
