Personally I think the new Modern Age has just started with the DC 52 and Marvel Now. What better time to start a new age.
.....and then when they restart them all again next year, we'll have yet another new Modern Age!

Bone lol. Hype. Look long term.
Obviously you have never read Bone. Bone #1 1st prints in any grade are long term books. I remember people saying the same thing about TMNT #1s when they were selling for a few hundred bucks.

I recently saw a Bone #1 1st print CGC 9.6 being offered for $1200.00 thru Collector Society Forums.

I am somewhat new to collecting comics and am out of my collecting Golden/Silver age phase. I was wondering what some of the more expensive modern age books are?
The book I currently tracking is the Wolverine #1 Deadpool Variant (selling around $300 on ebay)
Anyone have any new gems?
Thought it would be interesting to bump this... seeing as Wolverine #1 Deadpool Variant is now 2,500$ to 3,500$

I just sold my Transformers More Than Meets The Eye #19 1:25 Retailer Incentive variant for $285. Just the book, no CGC grading or anything like that. Yeah, it probably isn't the most expensive modern book but it's the most expensive Transformers book I've ever owned and probably one of the most expensive in the line of Transformers books besides NM+ Marvel #80 non graded.
I have some pics...it's not even in the CCL database it's so rare...haha...but for that price I decided to part with it. If you moderators will accept a photo of it then I'll submit it. Very hard guy to find...

I'm glad I check the forums as often as I do. I read this and was fairly sure that I'd seen this issue at a local second hand store for just cover price.
I wasn't too hopeful, but I went there today and sure enough it was there, still for cover price. So I didn't hesitate to scoop it up.

Wow!
That is a terrific find.
What kind of condition is it in?
Were you laughing on the way out?

I wanted to act as cool as possible until I was out the door, just so they couldn't backtrack on the transaction, but as soon as I rounded the corner I was giggling like a school girl.
It's somewhere in the NM range, there's some spine stress, a small ding on the back cover. Probably enough so that it's not 9.8 or higher, but still in damn good condition.
