Just finished reading Red Lanterns #14... not sure why, but something about this issue gives me the distinct impression that all (or at least most) of the Guardians that have gone nutso and "purged" themselves of emotion are gonna die and the Guardians that were imprisoned with the First Lantern will take their places.

Crazy speculation? or am I on to something....

New 52 isn't exactly dazzling me... There's still a lot of ret-conning going on at the same time they're trying to build a "major" storyline across all the Lantern titles. Sometimes reading them seems more like work than pleasure.
But I am finally getting into this new arc, so maybe the slow build is going to amount to something. Not sure who the mastermind is behind Rise though, so if it's Johns expect it to just fizzle out into nothing instead of ending or having any kind of impact (Blackest Night).

I like the story so far and have enjoyed Red Lanterns from the get-go for some reason. Really can't explain it, but it's kept me intrigued, but, then again, when it comes to comics I am kinda the same way that Kevin Smith described his buddy Jason Mewes - "dude's never read a bad comic." Prolly will wind up going back and reading the story again when its complete so I can read it straight through in order.

They'll both be around at least through the Third Army and First Lantern storyarcs. As long as they keep Red Lanterns and New Guardians tied strongly to the story in the main GL title, they'll sell.
