Yesterday at 11AM, I pulled up to the front of VANDERBILT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL and dropped off my annual load of toys and goodies purchased through donations powered by our COMIC COLLECTOR LIVE MARATHON TOY DRIVE. I've told you guys many times how important doing this is to me, and this year we were able to raise $1000...which was our best year yet in 5 years of doing the fundraiser now.
Here's some pics of the goodies that YOU purchased for the fundraiser. My wife and I used the hospital's official TRU Wish List as well as things they requested on the site in order to fulfill. Normally, I take these pictures in our offices, but since our offices are currently being remodeled for the next few weeks, I took these pics in our home.

We were able to secure
portable DVD players, DVDs, board games like OPERATION and LIFE, multiple wooden THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE toys and so much more...and none of this stuff is cheap stuff. It's quality toys that the hospital will really be able to use and desired.
One of the reasons I love Comic Collector Live so much is the commnunity. Oh sure, the system itself is pretty cool and has become a household name in these parts...but I really feel blessed that our membership, stores, approvers and everyone involved sees our site as much more than just another comic book site. This is what sets us apart from the rest, folks. We want to give back if we can. It's a perk of my position that gives me the ability to use what voice I have on CCL in order to help make a difference. I can never thank you guys enough for all your donations and pledges this year.
You should ABSOLUTELY give yourselves a round of applause, a pat on the back or at the very least make a STARBUCKS run for yourself. ;) This is a great way to close out the year for ComicCollectorLive...and I hope you'll join us for next year's MARATHON!!!
