Many years ago I had a disease called Cholesteatoma that came back several times and robbed me of my hearing, I have spent the last 30 years being deaf... BUT NO LONGER! Three months ago I had the BAHA procedure done & today after being deemed healed enough I received my device! I'm a cyborg... move over Vic Stone!

Great news! How does it compare to your natural sense of hearing from what you remember?

ComicVortex

Current specials:

Get 30% Off Select Comics
For every comic you purchase from our 'Bargain Bin' (those priced $1 or less), another comic purchased over $1 will be $30% off (refunded via PayPal). eg. If you purchase 10 'Bargain Bin' books, then 10 books purchased that are each over $1 will recieve this refund, etc.

Free Shipping

Slightly mechanical/echo sound like you're listening to an audio recording... but remarkable, I had forgotten how loud the world really was.

Congrats man!

My wife suffers from hearing loss - not as significant as yours though - and was floored how loud driving a car was the first time she wore her hearing aids. 8+ years later of wearing hearing aids and she still hears sounds for what seems the first time to her. It's amazing (to me) to have her ask me "Wow! is that really that loud?" or "I had no clue that's what it sounded like!" so I can't imagine what it is like for you after all these years.

AMAZING! That's awesome, man! Congrats!!!!!!!! I guess I should consider myself lucky (instead of cursed) as I have Wolverine type sense of hearing. Most of my senses are GREATLY enhanced on their own.

Keep reading comic "books" and NOT digi comics, because PAPER RULES!

Good to hear this kind of news, and yes, I can only imagine how good it is to hear your favorite Xmas songs "again for the first time".
