Yeah but image is notorious for this kinda stuff. I'm really not surprised how this played out. In the military if you can't be counted on and meet the hack especially as a NCO you get over looked on promotions and get sh!t jobs. Same should go for writers and artists... if you can't hack it they shouldn't be green lit for projects. Now I'm sure it doesn't look good but the fact that these publishers let it slide is BS. Look at Todd McFarlane, since he owns the book and part of image he let's it slide but with DC they let miller and Lee's batman book sit in limbo... granted they've had stellar track records they should have been held to a higher standard than letting that book sit in limbo for ever before just sh!t canning the project. If the artist for secret was stalling the book so much they should have canned him and hired a competent artist that could meet the time hack. Just my 2 cents.

I think this is the reason more and more comics are going to be done with digital art. Fiona Staples does all digital art for Saga so she can keep up with deadlines.

last night i got an alert from Amazon that the Secret Vol 1 TPB is scheduled for a July 9, 2013 release, clocking in at 144 pages.
the Image website lists it as colecting issues # 1-5, and both have illustrator Michael Garland added as contributer / artist.
if 144 pages of material (enough to flesh out a TPB) has been completed, why wouldn't Image resolicit & release #'s 3-5, then drop the TPB?
