I'm collector that tries to finish runs even if they have variant. CCL has changed my collecting habbits due to there shipping charges. If I am going to buy a comic that is on my check list I have to buy a couple more to make the purchase worth while. Once and a while I will get lucky and the dealer who will have a couple of comics on my check list. Which means I will be reading comics that I would not usaly buy. Which is alright because the majority of the comics I can find are only a couple of bucks.

I have only been aware of CCL for a few months but in that time I have not had to turn to ebay to fill the holes in my collection. Using the search feature to find a series has helped me discover other series I somehow missed.

Being disabled and unable to get out much, CCL has become a gemstone. I can shop for complete runs and compare to several different sellers. I trust the grading of CCL members more than ebayers. My only other outlet is craigslist and estate sales.

Also love the easy conversion from purchace to add to collection!

Cheers!

I now check here 1st for back issues instead of my lcs. They tend to be a lot cheap with most sellers offering free shipping over a certain total. Found some things I plan on buying soon as I have gotten a few missing IDW TMNT issues from here Big Grin

I joined up here in Dec. 2012. But then kinda forgot about it because of "real life" crap took over for a bit. Then this past saturday I got on here and started looking over the sellers stuff Drooling. I think my Ebay days are done Dancing. I filled in some holes in my Incredible Hulk set and finished off one of my Hawkman sets. I think it will change my monthly pickup habits as well. The prices here are so much better on the average. I don't think I'll save much cash but I'll get bigger stacks of new books to read for the same money.

my closest local stores are 50 miles away and one has mostly newer stock.i think this a lot better than ebay for the most part.it has definitely helped me fill in a lot of holes in my collection.i would definitely feel lost on my addiction without ccl.

CCL is the ultimate void filler. I love digging through my LCS (there are several good stores in my area) since they've always got fresh inventory on back issues and their prices are very reasonable. It's one of those places I can stop by week to week and always find something I need. Sure, with CCL I don't need to go to my LCS, but there's still a great deal of excitement involved when sifting through a fresh chunk of bright white boards.

I'd say my money is pretty evenly split between CCL and my LCS. Before CCL I was using Lone Star almost exclusively for my online shopping. I'm so glad to have cut the cord with that company.

Lol. Same here.

Like a lot of others. I have also spent less for issues rather than buying from places like Ebay. Meaning my dollars have gone a lot farther. So I end up buying more comics. Who doesn't want that?

My Husband and I now order 20-40 comics a month, before it was one or two every now and then.

When our comics get here we have turned it into a date night we snuggle up, eat snacks and read comics together until its late Big Grin its the best

Comics are one of the keys to a happy marriage
-comics
-cuddling
-collecting as a couple don't have to like the same things just make it something you do together
-finding a tv series you like/get netflix
&
-2player video games

I've been bouncing in and out of the back issue buying addiction for several years now. One thing I can say about CCL is that it is a great place to find back issues cheap (especially since there are no shops anywhere near where we live). Cheaper prices have allowed me to sample and get hooked on books I'd never pay full price for.

It also makes it easier for me to pick and choose which issues I will read and which are x-over tie ins I may wish to skip.I don't have the software but it sure is nice to use this site to help with that.

It's true. Your money does goes farther on CCL. Unfortunately a lot of my LCBS in my area mark up their books to a point where I refuse to pay what they are asking. Don't get me wrong. I know they are trying to make a buck but if you can get it for less somewhere else. It's a no brainer. You buy elsewhere.
