For sure a banner then. Let me know if you see it again. I pulled a lot out today.

Thanks for all your help!

OK, I shut down our biggest provider who I think is the one with the problem. If that doesn't clear things up, I will shut off the other one as well.

I assure you we only have 2, and both are very reputable. We have been doing business with them for 13 years. One is Value Click, and the other is Tribal Fusion. Both very reputable. I have trouble tickets into both of them, and I have provided this forum link for them to monitor as well.

Any specifics that you can post will help them to trouble shoot.

Thanks.

Joe

Glad you're looking into it, also glad you use reputable companies, although keep in mind this isn't an issue at other sites because the only ads they have are in-house.

Just for kicks I cleaned out my cookies & reset the home page to 3 different sites, I wanted to see how many cookies each site was putting on my computer. Mile High adds 1, MyComicShop adds 4, CCL adds 25, even with banners pulled.

May I ask if GoLoco is making any money from tracking our browsing habits? I've been trying to block mookie.com and exelator.com because they follow me around the web, those are 2 of the 25 that were added.

Hmmm curious, ok just scrubbed cookies and opened got these cookies:

Had about 7-8 browsing scrapers but CCL itself is only placing 7 cookies as per cookie-checker.com the rest are all 3rd party, ie those stupid banners.

Thanks to the following sellers for helping me put together my complete run of Amazing Spider-man #1-700

ComicCastle
TreeHouse
Hall Of Heroes
Thundercron's Longbox
DrumCzar

Now for the sellers helping me finish my TMNT collection:

Hall Of Heroes
Green Bay Comics

Ok tried it again, browsed the site a bit & now I'm up to 44. Some of these are obviously pretty harmless, but still, this is some serious clutter.

Browsed a few titles at Mile High, checked my cookies, there were 2, Milehigh.com and Google.com. Yeah their prices are silly but I have to give them a little respect.

EDIT - the Google search bar is embedded in my browser so that's why it came up on both sites.

Ah, but there's the rub: their prices are silly. The best sellers are here (in my opinion), so I'm here. If the sellers leave, so will I; if they don't, I won't. Days like today I wish there was more to it, but honestly, there's not.

The mobile pop-up stopped the day of Joe's post and didn't return. Never got anything on multiple PCs.

Lee, you are proof that some people are willing to put up with a little junk on their computer to catch a few bargains. I've spent plenty here myself.

As a seller am I comfortable with giving all my customers a free box of cookies as they walk in the door? No, not really, although it would take a zillion hours to transfer my inventory elsewhere so for now I deal with it.

How is it going? I removed a lot of the advertisements yesterday. Has anyone still experiencing the problem?

Yeah. I'm pretty sure I've gotten fake "You need to update Internet Explorer" pop-ups because of the software. I don't use IE, so the fact that they are opening up in IE can only mean the software.

Just had a pop-up survey from insight express (in IE), they have one of the 44 cookies listed above.
