Shop at My Store
For quite some time now, I've noticed that it's hard to type personal messages on CCL when the ad on the right side of the screen is a video. Computer can't keep up with my typing, so keystrokes get missed. Gotten to the point I just refresh the page until a video ad isn't present before I start typing messages. Anybody else notice this? Is it just my computer? Thoughts, please.

I can't type fast enough to keep up with banner ads.
The following stores are all stores that I've dealt with or have become friends with through the forums and I highly recommend them all.

What ads?
I highly recommend using an ad blocker like Ad Block + (for Firefox or Chrome).

It's not a pop up. It's like the banner ads at the top of every page, except this ad box shows up on the right side of the screen on the PM screen.

Again, what ads?
Seriously, get an ad blocker - this is what this thread looks like for me:
BEHOLD - NO ADS!
No ads at the top, none on the sides. No banner, no pop-ups.. NO ADS.
Also, stop using Internet Explorer. Best thing you could ever do for yourself in regard to computers &/or the internet.

Got a weird problem flared up this morning when I logged onto CCL. Some kind of adware seems to have infected my computer. It is especially bad on this site. First of all some blanked out ad spaces appeared on the left and right of the page, then when I returned to CCL it looked like this:
I tried clicking the opt out from the link under the blank spaces, but as soon as you make the ads inactive, they're active again as soon as you load a new page. This is through using Chrome.
On Firefox, I have an entirely different problem, but with the same adware:
Certain parts of the webpage have become hyper-links loaded with this same ad crap. The company is named
DeaLLpeak
, or variations on this. Some rogue application had been installed in my programs under that name. I uninstalled it, but the problem has persisted. It's still on there hiding under something. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Run MalwareBytes and see if that cleans the mess.

I've half-solved the problem by resetting IE and also found that this dealpeak was installed as an add-on in Firefox, without my knowledge. Still getting the problem in Chrome which I use as my default browser. I'll try re-installing to see if that cures the symptoms.

Re-installed Chrome without importing browsing history and it seems to have cured the problem. But my uneasiness has to do with suspicions that what happened has anything to do with CCL, as this was the site that I was having most problems with on all browsers.
Can I have an assurance from CCL management that this "Dealpeak" adware has no connection with Mid-Ten Media or their affiliated coupon site(s)?

your screenshot would indicate that you have a freakin'
$h!t-ton
of them installed - I'd bet a shiny new nickel that it came with one of them. Gotta read the fine print on those browser plug-ins/add-ons.
I'm running Firefox 31.0 with only 6 add-ons and ZERO problems on CCL.
Though, NoScript is suddenly showing me that addthis.com is
trying
to run a script on this page. I say trying because I did set Adblock Plus and NoScript to actually protect me...

If you're referring to the icons at the top of my screen, they aren't add-ons or plug-ins. They're just my bookmarked sites. The only add-on I had running on Firefox was ironically, Ad-Block Plus. This DealPeak crap just appeared yesterday from nowhere. Hopefully, it doesn't come back soon.

ah, didn't know you could "pin" bookmarks to the toolbar like that.
I'm old school, I like the File, Edit, View History, Bookmarks, etc buttons at the top.
Try NoScript. Kind of a (banned) to configure at first, but totally worth it.

I mentioned Ghostery earlier, and here's how it works:
(taken just now from CCL)
You can quickly see what's trying to run, and clicking the slider lets you easily allow/deny all the script processes you want.
