Not sure if this is the proper place for this or not:

Saturday I went to a local store that sells used books, movies, music, comics, etc. I found a copy of Ninja Turtles Ninja Tribunal for $5.95. Dancing Dancing Dancing Dancing The cheapest I have seen this DVD on eBay, Amazon, and other similar sites was $60. It made my day. Have any of you found a great deal at an used bookstore, flea market, goodwill, or yard sale?

All the time. That is like my thing. I'm a regular at Goodwill, at least once a week. And I'm always scouring eBay and Amazon for deals on comics, video games, and CDs.

Awesome deal, man! Applause

Brand new Columbia winter coat, originally $200.00, $56.00!
Who cares if it's 3 years old if it's still brand new - factory outlet FTW!

Found DCUC Nightwing with his escrima sticks out of package for $3 at a yard sale last year. Also found DCUC Tim Drake with his things, same price. I was so pleased, I think I made a plant bloom.

I got the TMNT #3 NYCC variant (white "Laird's Photo") this past weekend at a comic convention in Nashville for $75. I don't think I have ever seen that comic go for less than $300.

I'm pretty sure the dealer didn't know what he had as he just pointed it out to me as a 1st printing (though I guess technically the NYCC version is the actual first printing) when I asked if he had any Turtles comics. Either way, I'm happy.

The New Mutants #98 for 50 cents beats mine. I found a TMNT #1 in VF condition (the latest volume Raphael cover if I remember correctly) for 75 cents at an used music, video, and book store in TN a few months back. I also found an Amazing Spider-Man #36 (black cover)in VF or better condition at a local flea market for 10 bucks not to long after that. I was way stoked for the Spidey issue as it had been on my wishlist for years.

Cant remember the name but I was working in Chattanooga at the time. It was just a block from the motel I was staying in. It was a big store and may actually be a TN chain but I know we don't have that store in KY. If I remember I'll let you know. It was beside a Harley shop I remember that.

Though I have never been to the Chattanooga store, I'm going to guess it was McKay's. There's another McKay's close to Bellevue and one in Knoxville as well.

Thing that ticks me off about McKay's is that they have a lot of comics not in bags and put the price sticker directly on the comic. Granted the ones they do that to are the cheap ones that hardly anyone wants but still, as a collector, it really bugs me.

I had a feeling it was McKays in the first place, and now I'm sure of it too. That's where I grabbed NM98--in their Knoxville store. Also, I misspoke earlier, it was $0.35. Tongue
