I don't usually watch too many trailers to a movie. Don't want to spoil anything for myself but this movie looks so good. Praying it doesn't suck.

(referring to an original comic book piece) This is a art gallery my friend and THIS is a piece of art.

Elijah Price "Unbreakable"
played by Samuel L. Jackson

Saw it last night and I can confirm that it doesn't suck.

It was freaking awesome! Dancing Applause Party

Even Colleen liked it. She told me she has liked other super hero movies and this time I actually believe her! Laughing

I won't give any spoilers away, yet. Rocket Raccoon stole the show, Drax was epic, Gamora was great and Star Prince, er I mean Star Lord was fantastic. Not to forget Groot, Vin Deisel turned in the acting performance of his career. He was born to play the part and I can't wait for the Rocket/Groot solo movie! Rolling on the Floor Seriously, he showed a greater range of emotions than any other of the characters he has portrayed.

Thanos, Ronan, and Nebula were very effective villains. Ronan is more of a renegade than in the comics. There are a couple of cool scenes regarding the Celestials that blew my mind. The action was intense and well choreographed and it was generally funny! Not stupid funny but enough to keep the theater chuckling throughout.

I'm a little conflicted about what they did with Yondu. The guy playing him was Merle on Walking Dead and he does a great job playing Yondu but the character bears little resemblance to the comics one. Not really a complaint but it was somewhat jarring.

Oh, I loved the Collector as well. The Nova Corps was serious, there was a lot to like about this movie.

P.S. Stay for the after credit scene, I did not see that coming! Hypnotized

Saw it today and loved it. I haven't read the recent Marvel cosmic books so I went in with no pre-conceived expectations. It had action, humor and emotion, which made it overall entertaining. I, too, did not see that end scene coming. The audience at my showing was packed and I was surprised that the majority actually stayed for the end scene (whereas most everyone left after Days of Future Past). I just wonder how many of them were like, "We stayed for this?" because they didn't know who [REDACTED] is.

I find it funny looking at all the previous posts from last year downplaying how this film was going to do and it has turned into a smash hit.

I actually saw [REDACTED] in the Collector's room earlier in the movie in the background.

Awesome movie though. This is why I love Marvel. Have fun! You don't have to always have a movie so dark and serious to be good. This movie was just fun to watch. Applause Dancing

I did not see the mystery character earlier in the Collector's room, there was so much other stuff in there I was trying to see it all too fast!

AS soon as I saw him at the end I shouted his name out loud. People were looking at me kinda funny. I had to explain who it was to someone.

Also, since Friday, I have sold nearly a dozen comic books featuring that character! Dancing Time to put more up!

They seem to be reporting an estimated $94 million opening weekend. That's huge! That's more than The Amazing Spider-Man 2's opening weekend. Who would have thought!

Much better movie. ASM2 is my biggest disappointment of the summer. Guardians was everything I was hoping it would be.

AWESOME!!! I haven't read many of the cosmic books so I had no expectations whatsoever. This movie was just plain old fashioned fun and I loved it!

+3 So good. Even the sappy parts were awesome. Non-stop action.

Saw it today, absolutely LOVED it! I was quite entertained throughout the entire film. Whether that be from the cool fight scenes, the astonishing sets and special effects, or the hilarious lines from the characters. I absolutely recommend watching this whether you're familiar with the comics or not.

"It only happened once, man!" lol!

There are a handful of superhero movies I rate as superior:
Avengers and Dark Knight held the top spots pretty much. GOTG is right up there with those two movies as far as I am concerned. At least it's with the second tier (Batman, Batman Begins, Iron Man, Man of Steel)

There's a part in the movie, when Star-Lord says he has part of a plan. Only 12% of a plan.

Groot says "I AM GROOT" (naturally).

Rocket turns to Groot and replies with “So what it’s better than 11%, what the hell does that have to do with anything?”
