Comic Collector Live Forum RulesRULE ONE: Don't use this forum to break US laws. We have to report you if you do.RULE TWO: Don't post things on this forum to invade someone's privacy, defame, abuse, intimidate, harass, threaten or any such restatement of extremely bad manners.RULE THREE: CCL terms of Service still apply. For those of you who prefer your rules to be very detailed and legal sounding, here's an expanded list for you. Comic Collector Live Forum Rules and PoliciesUsage of these forums are subject to the general Comic Collector Live Terms and Conditions and the Forum Rules and Policies as specified here. These policies are meant as clarification of Comic Collector Live policies for the forums and do not change the effect of the terms and conditions. The messages on this forum express the views of the message author and not necessarily the views of MidTen Media, Inc. or the Comic Collector Live staff. Any user that feels a message should be removed is encouraged to send a private message to any member of the CCL Employee or Administration groups or contact us by e-mail at helpdesk@comiccollectorlive.com. If we determine that removal of the message or other action is necessary, we will do so. The Comic Book Talk, Comic Book Collecting and The Water Cooler sections of the message board are moderated by members chosen by CCL. These members can be identified by the label 'Moderator'. It is their responsibility to make sure, where possible, that discussion remains on topic and within the rules stated on this page. CCL Employees and members of Administration have moderator powers throughout the forums. This site shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Anything which may be construed as illegal activity will be reported to authorities, along with any details held regarding the members involved. Further, by using this forum: You agree not to use this forum to violate laws, incite illegal activity or engage in conspiracy to commit crimes. You agree not to post copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright owner. You agree not to post any material which is invasive of a person's privacy, defamatory, abusive, threatening or intended to terrorize, intimidate or harass. You should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning (see policing below). You are asked to not act as "back seat moderator". If you notice an issue which contradicts something in the forum rules you are welcome to bring it to the attention of a ComicCollectorLive.com Moderator, Forum Administrator, or anyone in Administration. Only do this if an Moderator or Forum Administrator has not responded to the questionable post within 6 hours. Please do not take it upon yourself to act as an Moderator. You should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning (see policing below). Moderators, Forum Administrators, or Administration reserves the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in this policy is up to the them and not you. However, if you feel that a post should be edited/modified and has not been done so within 6 hours of the initial posting, please contact an Moderator, Forum Administrator, or Administration. Moderators, Forum Administrators, or Administration may edit, change or delete any post that violates the rules on this page. Administration reserves the right to prevent access to members or revoke membership at any time. Customarily, a reason behind such decisions made by CCL Employees, Administration or Moderators will be provided. Moderators, Forum Administrators, or Administration will look at available options before locking a topic. When locking a topic, moderators should provide a reason for doing so. A member of Administraion will review locked topics and will make a final decision. Moderators, Forum Administrators, or Administration will edit posts using their own discretion in the following instances: - Where a post is in breach of the forum rules and guidelines. - Where the post formatting has failed to a point where it severely affects the ability to read the topic. In cases where a post is in breach of the forum rules and guidelines, a member of Administration will be informed and the member may be suspended from the forum until the situation is reviewed. In the case of formatting corrections, changes should be minimal and not alter or affect the meaning of the post if possible, in which case moderators should contact the member via private message to let them know that the post has been edited and the reasons why. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (see policing below) and/or the revocation of private messaging. PolicingComicCollectorLive.com operates a two strike policy. You will be warned a maximum of two times for any and all offences in a two month period. If the need arises for a third warning a temporary ban will be put in place of between 1 to 7 days. Repeated offenses will result in the permanent deactivation of your account with no refunds (if applicable) given. Arguing with Moderators, Forum Administrators or Administration after having received a warning will lead to an immediate additional warning. Should this exceed two strikes a temporary ban will be put in place as above. If you feel you have been unfairly warned, you are welcome to contact Steve or Joe, their decision is final. Any attempt to circumvent a temporary suspension will lead to that suspension being made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-suspended username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, or registering a new e-mail account to evade an e-mail ban. An exception to the two strike rule applies when you contact a Moderator, Forum Administrator, or Administration personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent or vulgar material. You may be subject to an immediate and permanent suspension. Permanent suspensions are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. ComicCollectorLive.com may choose to live a permanent ban but would be considered an exception to the rule. Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules hereMake sure that you back up your data regularly. It is not stored on the CCL servers, so there is no way we can recover it. It's easy! Click the planet button at the top of your CCL window. Select Data, then Backup Data. Pick a spot to store your backup file, and that's it.

vp -- not exactly -- while there have been smaller brush ups, it's more that the moderators have expressed a need to have things clarified for the sake of civility, sanity and the general well being of all involved.
Settle down beavis. Rules - binary solo....

At least it will be once we get rid of that BigUgly guy....

Well folks it's time to plunk down my $30.00 and I am wondering what new features are coming. Will there ever be a droid app? any new functionality? I'm just saying that $30.00 is a little tougher to come by these days.

1) Currently, developling a Droid app is in my CCL plan for 2011. For subscribers, we have made our data available for anyone wants to privately utilize our services to build an app of their own in advance of us, though. One of our members, ErrantEntertainment, is finishing up a Windows Mobile CCL app. We had some issues with our developers for the iPhone application, and it ended up taking longer than expected before it got finished. By the time it was done, advertisements for the Droid were coming out. Personally, I'm not a big fan of "chasing" technology. As soon as we finish a DROID app, will we then have to chase another tech? BUT. I do like the Droid, and I would like to see us move into that arena, so I'm going to try to get this developed for 2011. 2) We have streamlined our main page with a cleaner, sleeker look with less links and easier search capability, but I'm waiting for Joe to work this into the site. My guess this is a 1Q 2011 projection as well. 3) Along with those, I'm working on the Discount Code for CCL stores, potentially moving forward on the Price Guide function, AND a new version of the software itself, that will be compatible with *TRUMPETS* a MAC! In fact, I start testing it myself today. I encourage you to watch for my post for the next TOWN HALL CONFERENCE CALL with members in the CCL EVENTS section, where I personally chat with any member via phone about CCL, questions, upcoming stuff and whatnots... Regardless, we recognize there's stuff needs be done. Yes, $30 is tougher to come by these days - but we do think we still stand out as one of the best values in this arena...and the planning for 2011 I'm doing hopefully will satisfy your desire for some new stuff to play around with on CCL! :) Thanks man!
