Ultra poor selections made by whoever the guy is that set up these polls last week. The "Other" category crushed the competition with a whopping 10 votes.
Rest assured, we have "let go" the loser who compiled last week's list and replaced him with a monkey.

Vote on this week's top read above. Let us hear what you think of all the issues below.

Just opened the Master of Kung-Fu book. Haven't read it yet, but wow, the art is a real treat!

X-Force continues to be amazing. I've said before I love Kyle and Yost. Those guys can write a damn good story. I loved this issue so much because stories from the X-23 mini series and New X-Men all converge here again. It's so cool when a book touches on plot lines from years ago. This has been such a solid book and I hope Kyle and Yost never leave the title. And I love that Kimura (one of my favorite villains) is back. Mike Choi and Sonia Oback did the art so you know it kicked ass. Must read title!

Bring back New X-Men and Immortal Iron Fist!

I think I am going to have to read X-Force over again. Either I was really distracted while reading it or it was really confusing. There were a couple of places were I didn't exactly understand how the story was moving. I think I may have to re-read #18 as well...

Kimura is a great villain! Emma will not be pleased to learn that she is back screwing with poor X-23.

New Mutants #5
I could see a lot of people complaining about the art in this issue. Zach Baldus has a VERY stylized approach to penciling. Match the painterly colours with that, and you have what is sure to be a busy topic of discussion around New Mutant fans.
The story itself rotated between several sub-plots, and was weaved well Zeb Wells. In fact, the angst felt in the words played well off of the images.
While sure not to be the party line, I enjoyed this book. The cover was great and I am very excited to see Warlock back.

8/10

Yeah it's too bad New X-Men got cancelled because there was some nice character development between the students and Emma. By losing New X-Men and joining X-Force Laura definitely lost her chance to become more human. It's sad too because it was fun watching her interact and grow with the team.

I think my pick of the week goes to New Mutants #5. I loved the artwork in this book. While nothing really important happened in the series, the change of art was a pleasant one. I love how Baldus actually makes these characters look distinctive. It was like a really good children's book. I also think Zeb Wells has a good handle on these characters and their personalities. Everyone has depth in this book. Sunspot is a d*ck, Dani is bad@$$, Illyana is a b*tch, and Sam's trying to hold them all together as a team. I love that Legion is sticking around and am hoping he becomes part of the team. And Warlock being back is fantastic. Overall, I loved that book.

X-Force was great too. This is a close second and usually gets my pick of the week. Strong art and story. Kimura is such a great villain. Can't wait to see what happens. Is anyone else tired of the Wolfsbane subplot?

X-Factor #49 was decent, but not as strong as it's been the last few months. So Shatterstar just likes to kiss everyone?

Runaways is a disaster. This was supposedly the end of the arc, and absolutely no conclusions were made. The Runaways now work for Hunter? Maybe? Chase gets randomly hit by a car? What? Joe Quesada says that Runaways is going to be retooled before the next issue. I wonder what that means?

Spider-Man Clone Saga, I guess it could be because the rest of the Marvels I read were so lame, but I actually liked this issue. Ben's alive, Harry's dead, Peter's married and MJ's pregnent what more could I ask for. Oh yeah no sign of that imposter that's running around in ASM.

Secret Warriors #8

This book represents another solid issue for this series. Osborn appears to be making the same mistake the Germans did in WWII, he is spreading himself too thin. In what seems to be becoming a popular theme, Osborn is trying to get rid of another pocket of resistance. This one being the Secret Warriors.
Osborn's Black Ops' team, Ares and Bullseye are suprised to find some of the Secret Warriors when they go to take out Nick Fury.
While this book was good, there were plenty of opportunities in this issue to make some pretty awesome statements, and Hickman struck out on all of them. The interaction between Ares, Phoebus (his son), Osborn and Bullseye, represented a perfect opportunity for Ares to switch sides. Instead, a rather unbelievable scenario unfolds.
On a side note, I think there should be an absolute ban on Life Model Decoys in Marvel books. It is as bad as clones.
All in all, a good book that missed some key plot opportunites.

6.5/10

Thor #603
There are good things and there are bad things about this series. The bad thing is that the book isn't about Thor as much as it should be. The good thing is that the characters it is about are pretty intersting.
The Warriors Three are always entertaining, and now that they are on the "outs" with Asgaard, it is hillarious watching them try to blend in with mortal society.
I am also really digging The character Billy. His unique role as Kelda's boyfriend and would-be saviour of Asgaard is really intriguing. I look forward to seeing how Balder reacts to Billy's situation in the final pages of this issue.
And, you can never go wrong with a Loki Dr. Doom team-up!
So the only thing that seems to wrong with this book is that Thor isn't really in it. I'll be honest, I miss the days when Thor would enter a battle and everyone would start crapping in their pants!
So this book was good, considering it was without it's namesake for the most part.

7/10

I am so kicking myself for not ordering Secret Warriors from the beginning, it sounds great. I also wanted to stay on board after I bought Thor #600 but didn't. This also deserves a kick.At Wits' End Wall

I'm not really tired of the Wolfsbane subplot. I just don't really care about her as much now. She was much more interesting when she had all those drugs in her and was screwed up. Hard to tell where Yost and Kyle are going with her and that other wolf guy.

And is that sub-plot taking place on Earth? Why are there Frost Giants walking around?
