What a tough week. There were a lot of great books this week. I picked Wolverine Weapon X. This issue was the start of something new and very different from what you normally see Logan in. I mean this 1st issue wasn't like Logan at all. Lots of questions to be answered and I can't wait to see how this one turns out. The first arc of Weapon X was great and this seems to be doing the same.

X-Force, Necrosha, and Ms. Marvel could have easily taken this spot. But X-Force and Necrosha while good was basically an ending/beginning of a story. I like how Kimura was handled and glad she isn't going to die just yet. She's too good of a villain to disappear. Necrosha was quiet but good start to this big event that's been brewing. Your basic introductory 1st issue with not much too talk about. War of the Marvels also ended very nicely, I was getting really really confused. I enjoyed how Carol challenged Karla into being a better person instead of pretending. Glad to see Ms. Marvel is back in her own book.

Lots of good stuff this week! I went with X-Factor #50 as my pick of the week. So many things tied up so well.

Necrosha was delayed at my LCS, so I won't be getting it for 2 more weeks bc I'm going out of town. Sad Kinda stinks because I did read New Mutants and felt like I missed something.

Dark Reign: The List-Wolverine was great too. Jason Aaron had some classic lines in there.

And of course, X-Force was awesome!

Geez, that stinks. The order to read them in is X-force #20, X Necrosha, New Mutants #6. I really enjoyed all the X-books this week.

Don't sweat it too much. Necrosha is a lot of introduction and story set up. You don't miss anything to exciting except for a reveal of some enemies and major players.

Anti-Venom: New Ways to Live #2, suprisingly enough. What I expected to be a mediocre comic, is a damn good enjoyable read.

I was wondering what the reading order was. Glad I haven't started in on my pile yet!

Ultimate Avengers #3

Another great issue in this series. Captain America is a real bad-a$$ in this book. The new Ultimate team that Tony Stark's brother put together is interesting as well. A nice blend of new and some good reference to the old. Continuity continues to be observed helping making this book a hit!

Dark Reign: Young Avengers #5 (of 5)

I think there is a really good chance Paul Cornell was drunk when he wrote this issue. How it passed by editors is beyond me. So much potential flushed down the tiolet. This is becoming the standard for Young Avenger minis. Too bad, I like the team. But I will never buy another Young Avenger mini again.
This story was hard to follow, crappily written and a giant cop out.
Do not buy this book! Not even from teh .25 cent bin!

Secret Warriors #9

H.A.M.M.E.R. and the Dark Avengers continue their search for Nick Fury's Secret Warriors. Once again the slippery new comers find a way to squeeze out of a tight situation. The reader learns a little more about the powers of Eden Fesi and are treated to another exceptional show of power by Stonewall. This book is still good, but the chase is getting a little old. Time to wrap up this storyline.
One thing is for sure, Hickman may have created one of the coolest teams; in terms of powers, in the Marvel Universe!

Avengers: The Initiative #29

I still enjoy reading this series, despite its ups and downs. Lots of time is spent with character development, and there are always small developments happening here that impact the Marvel U. in one way or another.
In this issue, the New Warriors bring the fight to Camp H.A.M.M.E.R. (formerly Camp Hammond). It appears all of the information they have been fed though, was leaked on purpose. So we'll see how that battle plays out next month.
As always, we get to see: how Tigra is dealing with her mistreatment at the hands of the Hood, Peneance's rehabilitation, Trauma's struggle between good and evil and now Night Thrasher's tough decision to work with or against Osborn.
A good read, with my fine nuances. This is a quirky book, and as such probably has a specific audience. I consider myself to be among the fans!
Oh, and Trauma provides us with an interesting little surprise on the final page....

New Mutants #6. Such a great evolution of Cypher's powers, as well as a great, immediate counter to them. Also, the subtle read of the conversation between the 'New Mutants' and Professor X was terrific.

Fantastic Four had a great, surprising ending. Secret Warriors, Incredible Hercules, DR List Wolverine, Dk. Aveng. Ares, and Avengers Initiative was also solid reads, basically in that order.
