Ditto.

I think Wes Craven lost his talent for horror movies years ago.

Ditto on these.

Love Fulci. Even his lesser known films. 'House By the Cemetery' is an all time favorite of mine.

Carpenter=Genius....His music alone is genius.

Romero=God of Zombies

Wicked= Awesome !!!

I am a huge fan of the horror genre an have been my entire life. I am not a fan of some of the horror movies coming out now though. I feel they rely on the gore and shock value a little too much, with out a great story to back it up.

Lovecraft would be my favorite horror author with Lumley right behind. Directors are Romero, and Argento, I like some of Carpenters stuff, the Thing mainly :)

Clive Barker is spectacular. Horror that actually has a heart and a REASON to be scared!

I love me some zombie movies and 70s & 80s gorefests. And I'm a big fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

I don't remember who wrote and directed Event Horizon but that movie freaked the Hell outta me. I've never jumped that much while watching a horror movie. It still creeps me out today but I love it.

Ever watch the Masters of Horror series? After Argento's two turns, I thought Miike's one was the most disturbing.

More of a TV type series. 1 hour episodes IIRC, each featuring a different master of Horror, including Miike, Argento, Carpenter, etc.

Should check out "Gozu" from Miike. A woman gives birth to a full grown man at one point rofl...I honestly couldn't figure out which movie I thought was more messed up. Gozu or Ichi.
