?

New glitch of the night or we just don't like having cover scans submitted to the database now?

More specifically I was attempting to add this cover scan of Days of Darkness #3

Anyone else feel like adding it?

That's a message that's always been around. Your image is too big. There's a note when you add images that "Image upload accepts only .jpg and .jpeg files and a maximum file size of 2 mb (2048 k)."

You're image must be bigger than that. Just resize it down a bit.

That's strange. Same scanner, same size comic, same cropping and saving technique used for every other scan. It worked fine for a couple Deadbeats covers this morning.

I don't know enough about scanners to explain why, but it happens to me randomly too.

Sometimes it depends on the # of colors that end up getting saved into the .jpg. For example, scan a full color cover and a black and white cover and save them. The black and white is usually a smaller file size. Has to do with the compression the .jpg file uses.

Might not be much - but it could be just enough to bump an image over the 2 Meg limit.
