I have here a copy of the first Sandman trade paperback, Preludes & Nocturnes, ISBN 0-446-39363-0, published by Warner Books in November of 1991. The cover is not a match for any of the ones currently in the DB. Neither is the publication date, nor the publisher (Warner Books is in the DB, just not for this title) The cover price is 14.99 (4 whole cents higher than the Vertigo edition's 14.95) Should I enter it in as a variant? a new title? Should I not enter it at all? Here, have a scan (note the little "w" logo, click for access to giant version):

Please enter as a variant (that way all the bio, creators and character info carries forward) and change the items that need to be changed.

OK. uhm. There doesn't seem to be any way to tell the Change Request tool that the publisher's not just DC, but Warner Books doing an arrangement with DC. Do I just leave that alone?
I am also not sure what to put in the Caption field. Right now it says "Preludes & Nocturnes" (that was put in automatically) I see that the others will add things like (8th printing) into that form field. Should I put in (1st Warner Books printing)? or should I just put that in the comment field?
Other than that, i'm ready to hit the save button.

You can leave DC in the publisher field and simply add Warner Books to it, since DC published the original material and it owned by the same parent company.
I think your suggestion of adding "(1st Warner Books printing)" to the caption will work just fine.
