What is a comic convention sketchbook?

It could be one of a couple things.
A lot of artists (maybe not well-known COMIC BOOK artists) at comic conventions create "sketchbooks" to sell at shows. These are collections of their previous work -- could be commissions, things they did for fun, professional jobs, sketch cards for comic sets, a lot of things. Some well-known comic book artists do this, too. I know Neal Adams used to have some sketchbooks, and, I think, Michael Turner and J. Scott Campbell.
Sometimes, comic companies do sketchbooks, too. I don't think this is as common, but I know there are some books in the database that were "comic book convention" sketchbook releases. They're basically the same, but released through a company, instead of self-published.
