Hi. I was going to get stuck into amazing spider man and i would like to buy issue 200 but i have seen that the top corner price tag is a sort of triangle in a black square. My question is what way can i reconise and know what issues are first prints and what does this price tag difference mean

Diamond box as opposed to square box just denoted the distribution method. They are both first prints. Pretty much any Marvel reprints from the '80's were for license titles, like Transformers, Thundercats, Star Wars, and GIJoe. Marvel never reprinted their main superhero titles in those days.

The diamond box edition of Amazing #200 is a first print. So is the square box edition. There are no second prints of this issue.

Ahh so then this hardly effects value or views upon this issue by collectors or any issue for that matter

They are first prints. I'm not getting sucked back into the debate on value or scarcity of one version or another.
Move along.

If someone is set on a square box they may pay more or vice versa for a diamond box. I highly doubt in long run it will make much difference in price in long run.

Botton line is im not buying for investment for money. Im particular in that i want a first print original of a comic that i can hold up and say wow this is it. And what i gather from you guys is that the price tag at the top dont matter. Its intrresting at this how there are these very subbtle small differences
