I have to different copies of Ghost Rider 1/2 from Wizard. The books themselves are exactly the same. What I can't figure out is why they have two different certificates of authenticity. One looks really official and the other looks pretty generic. The one in color came with in an Ultra Pro mylar with a wizard hologram. The other just came in a typical bag and board. My only problem with this is this is not the kind of comic that would be forged. Their pretty cheap and common. So why the different COA's?

All my Wizard 1/2's have the colorful 2nd COA you have pictured... ALL of them. I've never seen the plain jane version before.

Wizard Authentic was generally used for signed editions (kind of like Dynamic Forces, but not numbered) that had an additional hologram sticker on the cover. If you're copy isn't signed, I'd guess that whoever sold it to you found the cert and didn't know what it was for and just threw it in with that GR issue.

This isn't the first time I've seen GR 1/2 with the generic COA. Hence the scan two posts up. I'm curious as to how many are actually out there with a generic COA. Did wizard not print enough of the colored certificates? I'm convinced something is up at least with this issue.

Here's another one with the blue wizard logo in the bottom right that is a little different then mine and the same as the one yourplace2 posted. http://www.ebay.com/itm/350697805879?redirect=mobileAnd here's another one with a COA that looks exactly like mine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/360493274409?redirect=mobileI have to doubts or questions about the color one because it has the cover image as the background. But I do have a hard time believing that several people swapped out or lost the original COA and tossed in one from another book.

Just saw this Iron Man one while looking on Google. I wonder if there was some distribution rationale. Something like the color COAs being for the people that sent in the form from the magazine and these generics as some other distribution?

I messaged Blue Moon Comics because they have 5 copies of GR 1/2 for sale. I want to see if they have the blue wizard logo COA. I remember reading that the "Official" 1/2's came with a color certificate and came in an ultra pro mylar with a wizard embossed hologram on the bottom right. Like I said before though, I can't imagine that many people would swap COA's. I'm wondering if they were left overs or something. There's definitely something up though.
