Who Is Your Favorite Current Comic Book Publisher?

It seems that for the first time, in a long time, super-hero comics are starting to lose their luster. Lots of fans out there in fandom are talking a lot more about non super-hero comics, not published by Marvel or DC. (I'm personally not among them. I still buy mainly Marvel and DC with a little on the side here or there from IDW or the latest video game tie-in.)

So I thought it would be cool to see where CCL'ers lie on this subject.

DC, but believe it or not Archie was #2.

Image. I'd have to say Oni Press is my second favorite.

I voted IDW simply because they have the Transformers. Image would be my second choice followed by DC. I don't ready any Marvel anymore.

1. Marvel
2. Dark Horse
3. Image

Marvel's got my favorite heroes, Dark Horse has Buffy, and Angel & Faith; and Image publishes Hack/Slash and Revival.

Even though I'm reading more DC than anything else, Aspen is currently my fav. I love what they're doing this year with their 10 for 10 program - releasing 1 new title a month with the first issue for just $1.

DC ranks as my #1 followed by Dynamite Entertainment & Valiant.

Pretty much dropped Marvel though I still read a couple out of habit.

I've been a DC Comics guy for years and years. But since DC's New 52 change, I've been buying more and more Marvel.

I've come full circle. As a kid, I started off a Marvel guy because Spider-Man, Venom, and X-Men were all the rage back then; got into DC far more for years; and now I'm Marvel guy again.

It's all about the Avengers books, Marvel's cosmic scene, Thor: God of Thunder, and Venom (still) for me at Marvel, right now.

I'm still reading the Green Lantern books and Earth 2 at DC, but that's it.

5 years ago I would say Marvel but currently I like DC more. Marvel is second, and IDW is third (thanks to Transformers).

I read more Image by far. Valiant would be second. DC and Marvel would probably tie for 3rd. I'm only reading about 2 or 3 titles from each of them.

I don't really know what I would say is my favorite since I love the current Batman books from DC, but Image has a much more diverse selection than either of the big two.

Valiant only publishes 5 monthlies right now, but they are all solid. Despite the I can't say that either of the big 2 have 5 good books between the two of them.

Free shipping is available on ANY order $40.00 and above. No minimum books necessary. Whether it's 1 book or 100 books. If it's $40.00 or more, it ships FREE!

Also, if you buy 10 or more $1.00 books, all the $1.00 books are 25% off. Effectively making them $.75 books! I've got hundreds of them!

Come take a look!

this is an impossible poll for me.

i can usually narrow down (well, top 5-ish) favorite songs, bands, movies, artists, TV series, foods, restaurants, books, comic characters, actors, etc etc...

but beyond naming my favorite hobby (reading comics), i can't name a fave publisher.

i currently read monthly titles from Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, Valiant, Avatar, Dynamite, IDW; i buy trades from Abstract Studios, Oni Press and yes, Red5 (i finally tried Atomic Robo); some of my favorite titles in the past were published by BOOM! i'm sure i'm leaving a publisher out... if something looks interesting, i'll try it.

i can tell you my favorite titles (past & present), but i could never pin down a favorite publisher.

I would say Radical but since they arent publishing any books currently I'm gonna have to go with DC with Dynamite being second.
