With the release of "Shield" and "Arrow" and the coming "Batman and Superman" movie, what I would like to see is a series based on the characters of Gotham City.

Each of the "Batman" characters should have their own 'enclosed' stories. The series (Gotham City), could start with Thomas and Martha. There could be episodes that could explain the origins of young Harley, Crock, Selena, Huntress and the rest. Of course it would also include other mob-bosses iconic to the comic story. (Rupert Thorne, etc.)

There should be an including of what Gotham was like before the unusual increase of it's crime that caused the necessity of "Batman". The series can have the birth of Arkham and it's first inmates.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Origins of Heroes? "The Red Hood"?

I would be interested in seeing a series that deals with the 40/50s of DC and have DC Characters like Sandman - the original Atom - Phantom Lady - Phantom Stranger - like a crime noir series

I'd like to see a pulp/crime noir Plastic Man ala Jack Cole where plas is the straightman in a crazy world & he's working with the N.B.I. to take down the mob & random metas... & set it in the 1930's - 1940's Chicago. BUT most likely I'm the only one...Nerd

They are doing a new tv show about Gotham. I think its going to air on the WB. I don't remember a whole lot about the article but I think I read about it on Newsarama.

At first it was to be about a young James Gordon - now it is going to be about a young Pre-Batman Bruce Wayne -- probably morph some more before it is over

I like the idea. But yeah, the Gotham thing is already being toyed with by WB, like has been pointed out.

But I'd love to see a series set in DC's Golden Age. Something starring the JSA or All-Star Squadron. Due to budget constraints, I'm sure they'd have to cut out characters like The Spectre, Dr. Fate, and Green Lantern. But most of the other characters, could be done. And the JSA's roster is large enough that those other more flashy characters wouldn't be missed. And have it actually be set in the 1940s with the full setting (like Mad Men).

The popularity of the Smallville episode starring JSA characters shows that there is interest in these characters out there.

I think Fox has picked up Gotham and I think it starts the end of this year along with The Flash and Constantine.

I love that DC and Marvel are putting out more stuff for us to see in the movies and on TV. It's definitely a win for us that they try to out do each other. I am definitely enjoying the things that are coming down the pipe.

Mad Men takes place in the 60's.

DC is also working on a Flash pilot. They were working on a Wonder Woman series called Amazon but that's been shelved indefinitely.

They should make a Suicide Squad TV show. Use B-list villains from the comics, kill them off during missions and introduce new members to go through the wide variety of characters DC has in their universe.

I would tune in for a Suicide Squad TV show. That would be awesome.

The first post was actually my wife and her idea. She was excited about it and wanted to see what my online comic community would think, so I let her run with it(after I read and approved of what she had said, since it was under my tag). Thanks for your replies. I hope I haven't broken any unwritten rules. Anxious

Anyway she was so excited about it that she's started writing her own fan fiction, and it's actually pretty good. Each chapter that she writes will be a different character(s). She's started a lot of fan fics and never finished, so I'm gonna have to stay up with her on this one to keep it going.

I even thought of contributing a chapter, but my imagination stinks.

Will do. So far all she has is the forward and a few pages into the first chapter. It's about Grandma and Pa Wayne, how they hooked up and came to the States.
