I'm about to add 1000+ items to my store, but the store will be in VACATION MODE.

Will wishlist notifications be sent when I add them to the store OR when I Turn Off VACATION MODE?

That is a good question. I am not sure. I will need to have the tech guys look into that. I will put in a request for them to research that, and get back to me. They are working on a new PayPal update, and are nose-deep in things, so could take a few days to get an answer.

In the absence of any news, you could always test it out yourself in real time. Just find a trusted person with a CCL account. Have them put some of those books into their wishlist. Put your store on vacation mode and list a couple of those books to sell. Then see if the user gets a notification.

Just a thought.

What I am most curious about is:

I delisted all items in this store.

I am RELISTING them with an accurate inventory.

in some cases, they are the same item as listed before, just moving that item to 'sell' status.
in the past, these DO NOT get notifications, as they are RELISTING (THEY STILL INVOKE A CHARGE)
so...
will the RELISTED items show based on customer want lists
or
will the database ignore the RELISTED item as it has been notified once before?

I did as suggested, and it seems that items added are sending notifications IRL, despite vacation mode. The rub is that when the items are searched for via notifications, they do not show as being there. When vacation is lifted, the items will show, but too little too late. This is a broken functionality of the site.

Hay is for horses, sometimes for cows but not for pigs because they don't know how. Big Grin

This site has been broken for over a decade. This "upgrade" just brought more of the issues to light.

Adding this bug (Wishlist notifications being sent while on vacation mode) to our list. Thanks. Been busy with a few updates we are about to release.
